Must be your browser or autocorrect, as I had no issue with Firefox.

And, in Jeopardy fashion, what's the question for those 7 call letter sets?

What are the first seven radio stations at which David Eduardo has worked?

I think that would include WCCW Traverse City and WJMO Cleveland Heights. When the old WKNR 1310 Dearborn was off, I heard WCCW during CH, along with CIWW.

I was using a GE SuperRadio II Barefoot this afternoon when I heard those I listed.

Very strong CH Skip to East Coast from Southeast MI this afternoon. So far, I have heard WFNR 710, WAVL 910, KYW 1060, WBAL 1090.

Not unusual this time of year. Back in the day for those of us that remember when WABC was Top 40, I could sometimes hear Dan Ingram's show as early as 2:30 CST in Northern Illinois.

What's your 20?

Which WDGY? 1130 KFAN now KTLK? 630 once KDWB? 740 Hudson, WI?

Those calls have one major thing in common besides being, at the time, Top 40.

In a word,,,,"Storz" In my college days in Iowa, I was within daily range of WHB and KXOK. KOMA reliable nightly. WDGY occasionally on day power at sunrise/sunset. WTIX relatively rare, but sometimes doable at night.

Another thing these stations had in common is that they were all excellent.

By George, I think he's got it!

When WKBW played top 40, I remember them sometimes showing up early in the afternoon too in New Jersey during the winter.

But right after sunrise, they were gone and I never heard them later in the morning.

Tried again today. Only strong one was WTEM 980. WJFK 1580 wasn't strong. CKDO was coming in. I wonder why WKBW wasn't strong in the morning. PSA interference? WWKB is DA-1.

Keep tuned. At 3:00 PM EST today, was hearing WHIO 1290 booming in. And WWVA 1170. And WCKY 1530. And CHIN 1540. I think the D Layer becomes less ionized and absorptive by mid afternoon this time of year. But that's my theory for explaining the short range skywave. The reflecting layer is lower, whatever is happening.
