Why would any station in markets that are over half Hispanic use any call letter combo with "KaKa" together?
Maybe not a factor in the 70's, but worth thinking about today when non-Hispanic white audiences are a distinct minority in many cities in CA.
If the station is broadcasting in English, why does it matter how the call letters sound in Spanish?
Because many bilinguals who listen to English language radio will see the calls on RDS and or other displays and read in their more dominant language.
I do the same thing... I think Spanish letters even when I am typing in English because I've been wired that way for more than half a century.
