Rita Cosby Out at WABC

I generally like Rita Cosby, however, Curtis made the pairing unlistenable.
Sorry to see Cosby go; I thought she added a pretty good balance to the show; Glad that both Plante and Savage are gone, especially Plante who I thought was an embarrassment to the station.

Plante is pretty good as a political pundit on cable TV, however, maybe, it’s a case of more is less. I wonder how much longer Bernie and Sid have. Sid has been cursing out anyone criticizing the show on social media, so, maybe, he’s stressing out.

Michael Medved, who is similar to Shapiro, Yale Law graduate, very smart and not an Always Trumper, is being let go by Salem. I’d listen to him on WABC.

Medved had cancer, which he beat, I believe. I’m not aware of continuing health issues, although I haven’t listened in a while. I think I heard him say he’ll be doing a podcast after leaving Salem.

Rita was a vast improvement over the odious terrorist lawyer Ron Kuby, IMO.
A real revolving door at WABC it seems. Is anybody running the programing there or is it on auto pilot? I mean, with their incredible ratings success, hard to see these moves as improving anything. How soon till they start dispatching Yellow Cabs???

Those shows are the price that station pays for running losing talk shows during the week. If the talk format was doing better, they wouldn't air those shows. Those shows are likely bringing in more money than the daily talk shows. So get used to it.

I agree; Rita was a stabilizing factor in keeping Curtis under control when he'd get too excited and go off on a tangent.
