Pulling in 1110 KFAB (Omaha, NE) tonight on the Sangean HDR-16. That’s over 1,000 miles from my place near Phoenix, and the furthest-east radio station I think I’ve ever heard out here!

Although it's not a new log per se -- I'd heard them before they went silent -- WRCR 1700 from Rockland County NY was coming in just after sunset tonight, Saturday. They were running a baseball game and took a break for spots, which included a promo for some Friday Oldies show there, between 6-8PM.
This reception was on the battery G8, on the terrace.
I mention it because WRCR only recently returned to the air. To me, the power they run and the antenna site is vague.

There was also a 1450 station with a ball game and mentions of New Jersey. It wasn't a MLB game. One team had 15 hits. Some pitcher relieved who hasn't issued a walk all season, and had an ERA of 1.08 if I heard right.
I was hoping for that relatively new Milford PA station. No ID though.

Not vague, theyre running 2500 watts from a longwire draped off a tower near New City, they have an STA to be back on the air

New catch for me before sunrise this morning (5/19). CKNX on 920 from Wingham, ON. In for about five minutes with "classic country", Then it was gone. WBAA also underneath. I know some of you guys have heard CKNX on more than one occasion, but it was a first for me.

Actually, CFCO has become a nightly regular here. I say "has become" because when they were 1kw at night, I almost never heard them on night pattern. WLAP and then-KXOK used to fight it out on 630 around here at night with CFCO sometimes surfacing on day pattern around sunrise. They've always had a good day signal. In a car radio, I can hear them daytime as nearby as north central Indiana....not far from South Bend. Before they went country, they were an oldies "go-to" for me when I was in that part of the world....including the drive between Detroit and Cleveland where CFCO was solid for the entire route!

Fun fact: CFCO stands for "Coming From Chatham, Ontario". Nice town BTW. I've also driven by their towers numerous times. Tall...and visible from the 401 freeway a couple of miles away.

I suspect alot of Canadians arent operating with proper pattern at night... theyre so remote and theirdial isnt as crowded as ours.. who will notice or care usually?

I used to be able to hear CFCO during the day here in the near north Chicago suburbs. If I turned my radio one way I heard CFCO, the other way KXOK. Both weak, but I could hear them during the day on a good radio. Now I can't hear either because of WMFN. At night it was usually WLAP.
More about this frequency when 630 comes up again.

I grew up right on the WLAP/CFCO line so to speak. I could null either out. Go to Lima it was solid CFCO.

Country on 1130?

This morning I was hearing a weak classic country/oldies station on top of a fairly empty 1130 about an hour before sunrise. In for about five minutes then vanished. Any ideas?

Historically, my first guess would have been KWKH, but they flipped to sports. My guess would have been KBMR on day power (10kw IIRC) or perhaps KKSI on day power (250 watts).

I hear KBMR here sometimes.. id bet it was them. You could pull up a stations webstream to confirm. .even when i just have my phone, im able to do it

I was guessing KBMR. I was nowhere near a computer, but I have tried matching the webstream. In this case it would've been moot because the signal was gone in less time than I would have had to boot my laptop....or, for that matter....my iphone.

Pulling in 1310 KFKA (Greely - Ft. Collins, CO) very well here in southern AZ tonight. I’ve never heard this station before. I’m surprised I can get it even at night, because I believe it only transmits at 1kW at night. Anyway, I think it’s pretty neat.

670 KLTT (Commerce City) is also coming in well tonight, even to the point that my HDR-16 can identify its HD carrier (can’t decode it, though).

Apparently the sky wave tonight is coming strongly from Colorado. 85 KOA is crystal clear, whereas that’s frequently a tough one for me to receive here even in my car. Oddly, KTNN here in AZ (but same general direction) won’t come in hardly at all.

No 'latest' DX to report here.

Even in the car -- a 2008 Sebring with a great sounding, noise-free AM radio -- every frequency at sunset and at night sounds like 1400.

I apologize for taking up any space here.

Was just listening to KNX Los Angeles 1070 and XEPRS Tijuana on 1090 last night while driving home to Pine Grove, CA.

Using a base Ford AM/FM stereo in a 2006 Crown Vic, so rear windshield antenna and the base Ford radio from this time has pretty poor selectivity but high sensitivity. That being said, both were booming up here with XEPRS (with their awesome 80’s-90’s format being piped in from South Texas as filler) having the better overall signal. 1080 was a hot mess in between...

1080 KNX is no problem here in SE Wyoming at night..usually fairly listenable most of the night.. and some winter days, its audible well past sunrise and in rare occasions, its audible all day. now, it might be nothing but static and noise at lunch time, but it's there.

At 2:55 a.m. this morning I logged 1250 KRRD in Fayetteville, AR, at 514 miles and presumably 45 watts.

While aiming NE to null out local KZDC, I was hearing a weak country station every now and then mixing in with KDEI. I thought maybe it was KZHN in Paris, TX (which I've yet to log from San Antonio). A little after 3 a.m., I heard an Aaron Watson song and then a partial ID with "country," "KR," and "106.1" Later, after a Reckless Kelly song, I heard a "Red Dirt 106.1" ID.

The only 1250/106.1 combo I could find was KRRD and its translator, but I dismissed it at first because it's listed everywhere as a Christian talk station. However, this afternoon I found a RadioInsight article from Feb. 22 of this year that mentioned KRRD as "Red Dirt Country 106.1."

Last minute DX test was announced on Saturday. WRCK Remsen, NY AM 1480 was running a DX test at 23:00 CDT with frequent Morse Code IDs. Heard quite well at my location. In the process I also managed to hear a clear ID for WJMB Jerseyville, IL, which surprisingly was a new catch for me. Station with Mexican music programming was fading in and out, which turned out to be WJDA, Madison, WI.

The station in Madison must be WLMV if on 1480 kHz. Years ago, this was the big Top 40 outlet in Madison as WISM...

My mistake. Yes you are correct DXBob. It is WLMV. I tried to remember their calls from memory and instead of WTDA a typed WJDA. Turns out that those were their old calls anyway. What I heard on Saturday were "La Movida" slogans and mentions of Madison.
