Per a friend of a Jeopardy! fan who went to the tapings on October 23, posted on a J! fan site:
That's what he has too, right? Nice of him not to mention that. It would have been fine if he had but he wasn't going to make it about him.Actually, Alex said that the ribbons were for a contestant who was a participant in one of their special tournaments who died of pancreatic cancer.
And the contestant who had the idea for the purple ribbons admitted last night they are for Alex, too. For which Alex thanked him. That's what he has too, right? Nice of him not to mention that. It would have been fine if he had but he wasn't going to make it about him.
And he's in the finals, playing once again with the woman who beat him.I've noticed in the tournament of champions this week that all the players are wearing purple ribbons for pancreatic cancer research for Alex. It may have been happening earlier but this is the first time I had noticed it.
And James Holzhauer is back in the Tournament and won big again in his first round.

Yesterday's game was pre-empted on WBBJ in Jackson, TN because of the impeachment hearings, although it made it on WREG in Memphis. I just hope that tomprrow's game doesn't get pre-empted on both.
