Who is already missing sports on TV?

WWE's super bowl, Wrestlemania is still on (for now) for April 5th, but will now move to WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, FL. it will be the same as last Friday's SmackDown and last night's Raw, as in with no fans in the venue, just wrestlers, referees, and other essential WWE employees needed to run the show. but there's a chance it could still get postponed for later in the year once the outbreak subsidies.

Update on the PGA

The PGA Tour has canceled all of its events through May 10 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tour announced Tuesday.

Last Thursday, it canceled all events up through the Masters Tournament in early April. The Masters was then postponed Friday morning.

No date has been targeted for the 2020 Masters at Augusta National.

Since more likely both the NBA and NHL has their seasons pushed into early summer, where this leaves the WNBA and their lack of attendence. The sports fan's dollar only goes so far to begin with.

It's one thing to watch summer basketball, but summer hockey seems a bit strange.

Not in Arizona, where the NHL regular season begins when the temperature is still pushing 100, and the Stanley Cup is awarded when the temperature is around 110. :D
 
We're going to have a period when all of these sports will be happening at the same time. Hockey season running into football season, and potentially delaying the start of next year's hockey and basketball season.
 
Let's say COVID-19 decreases and eventually retreats around May or June. (Of course it will take the cooperation of most of America to self-isolate as much as possible). When we finally get back to partial normalcy, will the NBA and NHL go the way of NCAA basketball, or the 1994 MLB season (no winner)? Or will the season join in progress, potentially with playoff games immediately decided with the highest-ranked teams?

I can't believe it. ESPN is showing a cornhole championship from Ft. Lauderdale. And I'm watching it!

This afternoon, I bet on a few horse races from Florida and Louisiana through an online betting service. Several of the races also aired live on FS2. The New Orleans track that ran races today, however, announced that it would be cutting its season short and ending racing as of Sunday -- its season had only one more week to run. Tracks in New York and Maryland also canceled racing until the crisis is over during the past week, and I'd expect more to do so in quick succession, snuffing out an improbable COVID-19 survivor on the American sports scene. Florida, California and Kentucky are the only major racing states still allowing races to be run. Irish, Australian and South African racing, though, show no signs of impending cancellation and can be viewed on TVG, the racing channel, and online betting services.

Incidentally, it's been reported in horse racing media that money being wagered on American racing during this period has been surging. Apparently quite a few people who used to play the ponies but gravitated to casino games or sports betting are dusting off their handicapping skills again. But I'm afraid the grim reality of the current situation is going to bring the sport's false spring to an end.
