They preempted that for this?

Detroit aired a town hall with Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters on all six network affiliates in Detroit, plus PBS, from 7-8.

WXYZ ABC 7 pre-empted The List (though it also airs shortly after 2:00 AM).
WWJ CBS 62 pre-empted two episodes of Family Feud.
WKBD CW 50 pre-empted two episodes of Big Bang Theory.
WJBK FOX 2 pre-empted TMZ and Extra, which repeat at 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM.
WMYD My 20 pre-empted two episodes of Personal Injury Court.
WDIV NBC 4 pre-empted Wheel of Fortune entirely, while Jeopardy! was moved to 8:00, pre-empting a repeat of Superstore.

The town hall was not listed on WWJ, WJBK, or WMYD. WNEM CBS 5 in Flint also aired it, although it too was not listed. Presumably, like last time, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune were moved to My 5.2. WILX NBC 10 in Lansing did air the last Michigan town hall, but did not air this one.

In a rare instance of Jeopardy! being pre-empted but not Wheel of Fortune (while J! has a tournament and Wheel has reruns, no less), WHP CBS 21 in Harrisburg, PA aired a coronavirus special last night at 7:30 PM, bumping J! to 2:00 AM.

This weekends FOX "optional" sports programming

Saturday's NASCAR is the 2009 Talladega race at 11am CDT then Game 1 of 1998 WS (Yankees/Padres) at 2
Sundays is the eNASCAR at noon. If it is done by 1:30 then its the 98 Daytona 500 (1/2 hr version) then SB 33 (Atlanta/Denver)

Just WS and SB for WNYW. All infomercials otherwise.

According to Spectrum's guide WHBQ Fox 13 in Memphis actually has Fox's sports programming scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. WJKT Fox 16 om Jackspon, TN has "Paid programming" listed for both days but I hope the listings will be wrong again. I won't know for sure because I'm working tomorrow afternoon But I'll try to record and find out for sure.

interesting. Looking at zap2it it shows the usual on Fox13 (paid programs then TMZ, JJ and news) and WJKT has paid programs and TBA on Saturday. Sunday shows either paid programs or TBA for both stations
Titan shows WJKT has paid programs in the morning but the baseball on Saturday and both on Sunday

The NASCAR boom is over, and it never really reached New York City in the first place.

has nothing to do with that. This program is optional for affiliates (has been for a month now). FOX Minneapolis (KMSP, another O&O) only seems to show the SB replay on Sunday. They'd rather show a movie or two (this week is March of the Penguins and Ocean's Twelve) then their off season Saturday programming (TMZ, JJ, News) and on Sunday another replay of TMZ and Access Hollywood

has nothing to do with that.

Then it's strictly random that WNYW is taking a World Series game (with the Yankees) and a Super Bowl and not an old real and new fake stock car race? Hard to buy that, but if you've got inside info, then OK. I'm just an "end user" of broadcasting, as the corporate types call us.

I didn't get to record anything from WJKT yesterday so I don't definitely know what they did but considering what they've been doing in recent weeks I'd guess that they did show eNASCAR and baseball. Today they were off because of technical problems on Spectrum but I could get them OTA and they were showing the Super Bowl replay and I'd guess they showed NASCAR as well. As usual Spectrum blacked out WHBQ so I don't know what they're doing, but the schedule on Spectrum showed sports this weekend.

I don't know whether it's the fault of WJKT or the scheduling services that are used but I wish they would get their act together and get the schedules right. I've run into other problems with the schedules from Spectrum at times so I think the problem is with them at least in part.

Its also the guide companies. My guide on Consolidated (IPTV provider) can be bad too. Lots of "TBA" where sports was. Also wrong programs even when the guide says it should be on (and the guide matches multiple tv listings websites).

Found out Family Feud has moved to 12:30PM on KNDO because of that 6:30 Coronavirus KHQ newscast. At least they were able to clear it at a different timeslot. (Normally 12:30 is paid programs or a make-good for an NBC More You Know E/I program due to sports).

Here is an interesting one from our friends North of the Border

so CJON St John's Newfoundland, which is an Independent station but carries programming from Global, YES and news from CTV this week is now having their own update on Covid 19. They were carrying the Prime Minister's daily update which was being carried at 12:30pm (Newfoundland is 1 1/2 hours ahead of Eastern Time).

They are having it at 2pm Newfoundland time. The issue is most programming during the day, due to the time difference, they start at :30 after the hour. So they are actually splitting up Days of Our Lives. It starts at 1:30, then at 2 is the update, then at 3 the rest of DOOL. A few weeks ago when they were carrying the Prime Ministers update they moved Rachael Ray from 12:30 to 4pm which replaced the cancelled Tamron Hall show.

http://ntv.ca/schedule/

The station is actually pretty odd (and it goes back to the owner of the station);) St John's only has CBC & CJON (known as NTV). Their prime time runs from 8:30-11:30 but due to the time difference the 8:30-9:30 programming is usually a week behind. Also they don't do paid programming. They just fill it with other programming theta they cant fit normally in. So the Talk is on at 4am Newfoundland time.

the wiki article explains the "uniqueness" of the station. I remember the station when I had a Canadian satellite system.

It was Mel Robbins that got cancelled.
Still doing the Captain Atlantis and obscure programming on weekend late nights?

All NYC and Philadelphia TV Stations have now cleared the decks from 7-8pm tomorrow (4/21) for the Jersey4Jersey Benifit Concert, which will be streaming from mutiple web sits as well. This affects a lot of syndicated shows with new episodes this week.

Is Rachael Ray moved to 4:00 NT just for these COVID updates? I know back in September, Tamron was at 4:00.

yes

On March 30th is the first day CJON started carrying the Prime Minister's daily update. Again that was done at 12:30 NT which pushed Rachael to 4pm. The schedule before that was
news at noon
Y&R at 12:30
DOOL at 1:30
Rachael at 2:30
Judy at 3:30
Tamron at 4

With the PM updates they just moved Y&R & DOOL back an hour and moved Rachael to 4. Now with no PM update just the local update at 2 Rachael is still at 4
