I believe they will be back on also.
It appears very possible that WRME will be staying put at 87.7 MHz, digital conversion deadline or no digital conversion deadline!
I could see them buying the 95.1 translators and WIIL, then synchronizing all of them. With that, they’ll still serve the city and the northern suburbs right up to Milwaukee
Who do you mean by "them?" Weigel just has an LMA with 87.7, they don't own it.
I think thats what Nick means, Weigel.
BUT... you cant have that 95.1 translator pick up WIIL off the air, and renting an HD channel would be mroe expensive and you cant have the translator simulcast the audio portion of WRME-LP.. not legal
I could see them buying an AM, IF it comes with a sizeable translator and the price is right........ or maybe a suburban FM signal, because i bet thats where alot of ME TV FM's audience is
Is the Franken-FM a cash cow for Weigel?

I bet the suburban FM or the translator is the key, although most of WRME's listeners remember music on AM.![]()
WCEV is listed for sale.. 18.75 mil but no translator.. too much too small a signal, no translator and too expensive
Weigel doesn't own any radio stations, and they just use radio to promote TV, so I really don't expect them to get into radio ownership.
I think they will support the owner of 87.7, and if that goes away, they'll do an LMA with someone else, or count on their syndicator to make a deal with a local station.
I wonder what WRME 87.7 bills for Weigel..... if it bills well, and theoretically, it should as good as the ratings and listenership is...i could see them buying a radio station... somehow i doubt 87.7 will continue as is and i dont see them walking away from ME TV FM just because 87.7 goes digital
