The final game overran to 12:15 AM Eastern. Not the longest WS broadcast despite all the celebration afterwards. Still, it should tell FOX that a four-hour time slot is much more appropriate, at least for Games 5+.
Sure but the problem is you had a west coast team playing an east coast team. So you don't want to start too early for the west coast, and also not end too late for the east.

It also can't be fun for the anchors and crew of the so-called "11:00" news to have to keep waiting in the wings for over an hour,
WJZY Charlotte does a 5:00 and 6:00 newscast. WGHP in the Greensboro market has news at 4, 5 and 6.Fox stations don't do an 11:00 news. They do a 10:00 news. And usually it's their only newscast. So they're not "waiting around." They know it's going to be late, and they likely come in late, knowing they're going to stay late. No big deal. It's the life of a news person. If breaking news happens, they come in and pre-empt programming. Happens all the time. That's what this thread is about.
The advantage is they know they'll have huge tune-in from people watching the game, and don't know what else is going on.

According to the listings, "Celebrity Family Feud" did not record on WSOC Charlotte because of a Mental Health Special, whatever that means.

I was checking on the Panthers-Falcons game on WGHP and there was a football player in the upper left corner of the screen as the meteorologist talked about tornado warnings.
Maybe it was about people who obsess about and record game shows.
Plus there's the possibility could be called upon to air or produce for syndication TWO OR EVEN THREE games on Mondayslocal markets airing ESPN games for the next 6 weeks (ROFR means right of first refusal...not 100% confirmed but usually they will carry it)

I can't imagine KWGN 2 or any of KDVR 31's subchannels airing it. Nor do I imagine KTVD 20 airing it (Especially since it's parent is NBC affiliate KUSA 9)With WJZY airing TNF, sister WMYT aired Fox News’ coverage of the debate tonight. Note that it was Fox News’ coverage, not News Nation’s. It preempted Big Bang Theory at 9 and 9:30 and the first episode of Schitt’s Creek. It joined the second in progress shortly after 10:30. Listings do not show the preempted programs being rescheduled.
Not sure what other My stations aired the debate.
Here in Denver, not only does KDVR 31 have a 10:00 PM newscast but CW affiliate junior KWGN 2 has an 11:00 PM newscastActually a lot of Fox stations air an 11:00 news in addition to a 10:00 news.
