I didn't even bother. I went right to WFMY and there it was.NBC was showing optional coverage from at least 7:00 PM.

Turns out NBC aired coverage from 7-11 Wednesday night. The 7:00 hour was optional.
Because of this, the 2-hour season finale of American Ninja Warrior was moved to Friday.
So here we go again. The broadcast networks pre-empted their 10PM programming for live news programming, setting up an address of some sort by Joe Biden.
That meant CBS pre-empted Blue Bloods, NBC pre-empted Dateline (which is produced by the news department,) and ABC cut into 20/20 (which is also produced by the news department.)
Side note: is CBS using the MTV studio space?
I guess so, why not? Not much other demand for the space, and they spent money building it. The accountants like efficiencies.

Was that always the Viacom office?
Depends on what you mean by "always." I believe the building was originally owned by Paramount Pictures. The old Paramount Theater is part of the building. It was merged into Viacom & CBS back in the 90s. For some time, the lobby of the theater was turned into a WWE retail outlet. There was also an MTV store along that strip.
I guess when MTV moved in was Viacom there also?
They just showed a wide shot of the studio looking out on Times Square, so yes they are still in the former TRL studio on the second floor of the ViacomCBS building, at 1 Astor Square.

I'm starting to wonder if Biden will get this address in before 11PM. Or if he intends to be live when local stations begin their 11PM news.

I'd be interested to see how the networks handle football if Biden is declared the winner.
Nope wall to wall coverage om ABC, NBC, CBS. Fox is airing football. ABC ran a scroll that the game there was moved to ESPN2.
