First off I hope everyone's staying safe in this nasty weather! I am so far.

Here are the stations in San Antonio that are having trouble, at least on FM. Anyone wanna provide a list for Austin?

87.9 KFLZ dead air
88.3 KPAC completely off
89.1 KSTX completely off
90.1 KSYM dead air
90.9 KYFS completely off
92.1 KNBT dead air
92.5 translator dead air
93.7 translator completely off
94.1 KTFM completely off
94.5 translator dead air
95.7 KLEY completely off
96.9 KPPC dead air, not sure about KXTJ as I can't receive it
97.7 KZAR completely off
98.9 KLMO dead air
100.7 translator on but audio is choppy at low volume and drops when louder parts of songs play
102.3 translator dead air
103.1 KHHL completely off
103.3 translator dead air
104.1 KSAH dead air
107.1 translator dead air

In short, radio's hit pretty hard in San Antonio right now. All the Alpha stations are off except 102.7 Jack FM. Some of the smaller groups are having some trouble as well.

Here are the AM stations that are/have been off:

550 KTSA: completely off
680 KKYX: dead air briefly yesterday
720 KSAH: dead air and sometimes a weak signal with country music and local references
810 KYTY: completely off
930 KLUP: completely off (on occasionally)
1100 KDRY: completely off (on occasionally)
1160 KRDY: completely off (on occasionally)
1250 KZDC: completely off
1480 KCHL: completely off
150 KEDA: completely off

I didn't see this until after I posted in the Houston radio
A bunch of Austin stations were off, KOKE was off for a while they are back on, 104.9 was also off now back on, 102.3 was completely off now back on. Still a few lp stations are off, KLBQ is still off. I also noticed on my Verizon phone yesterday it kept going from 4GLTE to 3G to 4G and often was slow but always worked.
On a update KVET FM was off the air earlier when I checked. KTSW has also been off the air for a while.

All the Alpha stations are still off or dead air mostly, no change there except that KTSA's 107.1 translator and KJXK are on the air fully functional. I'm not sure what happened at Alpha's studio but I'm guessing it's got no power like lots of the area. KTSA and Jack FM must be running from a different studio or something.

The 92.5 translator is playing music again but seems to be on at low power.
93.7 translator has been fixed but still has audio issues, can hear a loud hum and the audio level is too high on the FM signal.
The KAHL 100.7 translator is working fine again.

From what I'd heard, Alpha's backup generator failed, and they had to get a new one delivered. The generator it’s currently using can't power the whole cluster. So, it’s running 102.7 and 107.1.

All the Alpha stations are now working fine except for KTFM Energy 94.1 and KHHL 103.1, both of their transmitters appear to be off. I checked Energy 94.1's Facebook page and they don't give a timeline on when their signal will come back. Guess the backup site they apparently have failed, too.

KRTU 91.7 was fixed by now. KLMO 98.9's transmitter is on but it isn't playing anything.

150 KEDA: completely off
You mean 1540 KEDA? Their translator on 99.9 hasn't had any outages. Their translator on 102.3 that doesn't even rebroadcast KEDA has been dead air, though. 102.3 normally rebroadcasts KYRQ.

KPAC and KSTX are back up and running fine with programming.
KBBT 98.5 The Beat is now completely off the air, same as Energy 94.1 KTFM.

Sorry SARadio, you're wrong about KTFM as I just checked and only thing I'm getting on 94.1 is interference from the 93.7 translator.

ANother update though, 87.9 KFLZ is back with music.

Yes. As of this morning, several stations are back, but 810 KYTY, 930 KLUP, and 1540 KEDA are all off air.

92.1 KNBT has been fixed. So has KPPC-LP 96.9.

As of now, the FMs in SA that are having problems are:
90.1 KSYM dead air
90.9 KYFS off completely
94.1 KTFM off completely
94.5 KZDC translator off completely
I suspect 96.9 KXTJ-LP is off as their streaming is down, can't verify as KPPC covers it up here.
97.7 KZAR off completely
98.9 KLMO dead air
102.3 KYRQ translator dead air

90.1 KSYM dead air
Fixed now.

90.9 KYFS off completely
94.1 KTFM off completely
KTFM fixed, 90.9 still off.

94.5 KZDC translator off completely

KPPC is now dead air, and KXTJ-LP's streaming is back.

97.7 KZAR off completely
KZAR fixed now.

98.9 KLMO dead air
102.3 KYRQ translator dead air
KLMO fixed, 102.3 translator still dead air.

KYFS 90.9 is back, on at low power I think. Meanwhile 90.5 the Spanish translator that apparently rebroadcasts KYFS with the FCC is not playing anything.

KPPC is back up fine.

The 94.5 KZDC translator is still off completely. It must've been hit hard at the transmitter site, however 102.3 which I believe is on the same tower is still dead air. I heard a while ago that 102.3 was using a 1000 watt transmitter and a 4 bay antenna. If thats still the case, shame on them. Maybe their high powered equipment stole 94.5's power.

Everything has been fixed except for 102.3 which is still playing silence.

KHHL also is gone completely, doesn't appear to have made it back up.

A great big tip o' the earphones to you folks in those areas and your diligence!

Though conditions here (west of Allentown) were nowhere near as severe and tragic as by you people, the effect was kindred here when we were out of heating oil for 2 days. Moreover, the oil delivery depot down the Altamont Blvd -- I can see their sign from my attic window den -- was closed for two nervous days because of snow.
We spent two huddled nights, in a heat-less bedroom, under the blankets, with a trio of felines. It was a regular Three Cat Night. We discussed about the next pet being a Great Dane or a Siberian Huskie.

Next to delivering newspapers at age 13, the chore that I've probably repeated most often in my life has been bleeding fuel lines to the oil burner.
But the inconveniences here could be NOTHING like they've been down in those Texas regions. We're kind of used to this kind of $#!+ whereas you folks are not.

Once more, God bless and stay warm. Anything we can do here to be of help, please call. The phunge number is -- really -- (570) 8747474.

* * * * * * *

If the circumstances by you can be approached from a lighter, questionably appropriate, manner : Any decent DX by you folks ? I know I've seen a few of Jim-satx ' posts on the DX board.
Your wherewithal is truly commendable!

Sorry for not giving AM updates, I don't have a reliable AM antenna.

On FM, now 99.9 and 102.3 are both dead air, sister stations to each other, 99.9 usually rebroadcasts KEDA, while 102.3 usually rebroadcasts KYRQ.
