I know some YouTube channels have some of their clips done in 4:3 due to the uploaders settings or they still have equipment that's 15 years old that still in working condition such as older camcorders from the mid 2000's and run on SD cards. So it looks like most stations have finally adopted a 16:9 format with graphics, are any stations still running a 4:3 center cut presentation?
That's interesting also the ad looks very early 2000's too when DVD was the hot item for TV's at the time. Had no idea that a 24 year old ad is still airing at this point.Or the Sunsetter Awning commercials that have been running 4:3 since some time in the 90's with the dubbed over current price:

I did some checking and apparently the ad was done in 2005, so my mistake on guessing the 90's. Here's an article on it, but I wouldn't go as far as it does in saying it's the "greatest ad ever made. That's interesting also the ad looks very early 2000's too when DVD was the hot item for TV's at the time. even rare at this point too?How many newscasts are in 16:9 but still using 4:3 graphics.
maybe some cable access shows in the places that still have cable access channelsHow many newscasts are in 16:9 but still using 4:3 graphics.
Was that even an actual station though 92.1?On viewer videos on news, the funny home video shows, and websites like You Tube people will send in videos that are done from their phones in portrait mode. I stay on my wife constantly about when she takes pictures and videos trying to get her to turn the phone horizontally, and I'll admit I've done it at times:
That's even worse in 16:9 than 4:3 where the sidebars are as wide or wider as the actual picture.
It turned out that it was a translator for WREC AM 600 in Memphis, but I still have no idea why they put that noise on it at the time. We discussed it in another thread here: https://www.radiodiscussions.com/th...ny-ideas-on-what-this-is.700846/#post-6140834Was that even an actual station though 92.1?
