They preempted that for this?

The Opening Day Game between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies has gone into extra innings, and as a result, NBC Nightly News has pre-empted the second half of Little House On The Praire on Cozi.

would a rain delay on PPV/Peacock count for "Preemption", cause the start of night 1 of WrestleMania got delay by thunderstorms in Tampa on Saturday right after they did "America, The Beautiful", it delayed the first match for 45 mins as the storm passed by.

Last night much of "Jeopardy" in Charlotte was pre-empted by Biden and Harris commenting on the verdict. I can only say what happened where I live and on the one channel I was recording. "Jeopardy" in Greensboro appears to have aired in its entirety but I haven't watched yet, but that station would have been airing "Wheel".

It doesn’t look like WCNC reaired it. Didn’t say anything on Twitter about it.

Yesterday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race was cut short after a thunderstorm hit a heavy rain on Talladega Superspeedway and since they don't have the proper night racing lighting (they have lights at the track but not set up for night racing), NASCAR declared the race was over with 23 to go, the race was already in a caution for the "Big One" before the storm hit. Jeb Burton, the son of 2002 Daytona 500 and nephew of NBC Sport's commentator and former NASCAR driver Jeff Burton, his cousin Harrison, Jeff's son also was in this race.

so because of this, Fox wrapped their coverage up early as soon as they could after getting the post-race coverage in once the race was called, and i assumed all Fox stations joined local programming already in progress, i know KDFW did.

all Dallas-Fort Worth big 4 stations (KDFW, KXAS, KTVT and WFAA, not sure if the Spanish stations KUVN & KXTX did the same in Spanish) preempted regular programming Monday night for severe weather coverage as there was a major storm outbreak with a few tornadoes that hit North Texas. meanwhile, KTXA preempted normal program to instead air the CBS primetime line up instead.

With The Philadelphia 76's and Flyers both playing simultaneously on NBC Sports Philadelphia and Plus, and WCAU not waiting to pre-empt tonight's new Blacklist, the Philadelphia Phillies find themselves on TV tonight via.....Cozi TV (Philadelphia Market only)

In the early '80s, our local CBS affiliate (KMGH 7) in Denver continuously pre-empted "The CBS Late Movie" for something else, which I can't remember. I could catch it on KYCU 5 (Cheyenne, WY), though, if conditions were favorable

WREG CBS 3 in Memphis never carried CBS's late night programming until David Letterman moved there. But until then they never had much I was interested in. Instead WREG carried local late movies, and then reruns of MASH and later Cheers until Letterman moved there, and I actually liked it better. CBS never made any serious effort in late night programming until Pat Sajak's talk show, which was a flop, and not again until they were able to get Letterman, which was their first real success in late night.

When I worked at WLFI, Lafayette IN, they carried the first hour of "Crime Time After Prime Time" (all of the protagonists on these shows were named Nick) and then Joan Rivers (CBS fed a second hour of "Crime Time" in the 12:35 slot). That stopped with Letterman.
