Syndication for 2021-2022

Just found out (and this may have been going on for a while -- there's been no promo for it) that CMT has American Housewife reruns from midnight to 2a CT weeknights.
Yeah, since September 21. I have been recording them for a while. They were airing them some afternoons. But now they are only on in the middle of the night (and not every night, just two or three nights a week). I was referring to local broadcast syndication.

WJZY’s hourlong noon and 4pm news premieres Monday. TMZ Live, Judge Mathis and People’s Court all move up an hour to 1, 2 and 3pm. And as I said in the other thread. 25 Words or Less moves from noon to 10am (replacing Kelly Clarkson) and Dateline replaces The Real at 11am. It was previously on WMYT at 1. Dr. Oz moves from WJZY to WMYT, remaining at 1pm. That is WMYT’s only change. Personally I am surprised that Nexstar cut out a run of Kelly Clarkson and The Real between the two stations, I thought it would’ve been People’s Court and Judge Mathis to get cut to one run. I also thought Kelly Clarkson and The Real would’ve stayed on 46. But those two shows will only be on WMYT, at 3 and 4. The court shows must be doing well here.

9 Lives The Doctors should go it's on the grave hour of 5AM use to be on at 6AM on CW7 before The National Desk which is on from 6AM to 9AM.

Wow, guess my lack of insomnia lasted longer than I thought. Just telling you if you wanted your fix. Of course I know we're talking about syndication, since that's the name of this forum.

When will Chicago Fire and/or Med end up on Syndication?
The Chicago P.D. reruns air Thursdays on ION Television, Mondays & Fridays on USA Network, and other days on some independent TV stations. Chicago Fire was having its reruns air on ION Television. Don't know what happened to that show. As for Chicago Med., to my knowledge, that show is not yet in syndication.

There was also a version with Buddy Hackett in the early 80's that lasted only one season and to my knowledge I never saw until some episodes ended up on You Tube. And there was also a pilot with Richard Dawson that never made it any further. I hope Jay is able to do better with this.
The only thing I would watch is reruns with Groucho. Those appeared on one of my area PBS stations some years ago. They also did Jack Benny and Burns & Allen.

People The TV Show! is renewed for 3 more seasons it was going to get 2 more seasons no matter what since it is going national in the fall of 2022. I wonder if People The TV Show! will be on outside Meredith TV stations for 2021 in the bigger markets like NYC, LA, Chi? etc.

WB has announced that Young Sheldon will be syndicated to local tv stations.

WarnerMedia has sold the broadcast television syndication rights for Warner Bros. Television’s Young Sheldon, the prequel to the Chuck Lorre megahit The Big Bang Theory, in over 90% of the U.S. The announcement was made today by David Decker, executive vice president, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

Launching in fall 2021, the series will be airing in top Nexstar markets along with stations from Sinclair, CBS, Hearst, Gray, Tegna, Scripps, Cox, Meredith, Graham, Weigel, Allen Media, Sunbeam, News-Press, Londen Media, Griffin, Lockwood, Morris amongst others. In addition to syndication, Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory also sold in SVOD to HBO Max.

Most likely it will be on WMYT in Charlotte, as I mentioned earlier. Nexstar is the top group and WMYT already has two of the three BBT runs in Charlotte. WJZY has the third. YS could go to WAXN, as I saw Cox mentioned. But probably WMYT. I could also see The Goldbergs moving to WMYT if they have a second cycle and the Nexstar stations renew it, a lot of the Nexstar stations have it as they were Tribune stations when that group deal was announced. WMYT was still owned by FTS at that time.

In Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville, I think WYCW will get it since they are Nexstar (I feel it would have gone to WHNS 21/Fox Carolina in past years prior to CW 62's Nexstar ownership since they are home of Big Bang Theory as well as Mom and Two and a half Men. WHNS is owned by Meredith. WYCW does have Mike & Molly, which started at WMYA My40, a Sinclair station). I see channel 62 airing it either from 6-7 or 7-8, with Andy Griffith moving to 6-7 and Judge Judy 5-6).

I mentioned earlier that I think KIMA in Yakima should get this one (likewise with KEPR and KLEW). They have run Big Bang reruns at 7:00 for years. Why not throw out the 6:30 Inside Edition and replace it with Young Sheldon? An hour's worth of Sheldon Cooper, for fans of both the younger version and the adult version.

What channels in NYC, Boston, Providence and Puerto Rico is carrying this show?

Where does it say that it will be carried in Puerto Rico?

NYC--likely either WPIX (Nexstar-controlled) or WLNY (CBS-owned)
Boston--WSBK (CBS-owned; currently airs Big Bang) or WLVI (Sunbeam)
Providence--WNAC and/or its CW subchannel (Nexstar-controlled)

Here in Los Angeles, if KTLA or KCAL pick-up Young Sheldon, it's pretty definite that it'll get relegated to late-nights on either one, as both stations air their sitcom blocks in late-nights; KTLA is news-heavy in daytime and into the early evenings, while KCAL's daytime schedule consists of court shows, news, and the two-hour early-evening block of Family Feud leading into the primetime news block. I could see KDOC picking-up Young Sheldon (airing in early-access), in addition to airing on either KTLA or KCAL, like they do with some other shows currently airing elsewhere in the area.

WMYT will probably put YS at 6 and 6:30, with other shows shifted up to make room. Can’t see WJZY moving Big Bang out of the 7:30 slot and it would be silly to air YS and Big Bang head to head.
