105.3 is reaching further than the others? Seems odd of the person running it to go after 92.5 for running excessive power, when they may be running excessive power themselves on 105.3... The station is still streaming, but off to the left speaker. Power 105-3 Stream

Seems like a lot of assumptions here. So I had time to kill so I went looking for this complaint and once again speculation BUT there was some fact to it. Something we can verify is the station has 93Q HD3 transmitting programming that is on K283BQ. The small amount of time I was able to pick up K223DH I heard music which I believe to be the Barix channel or just dead air and No other HD or AM transmitting it’s programming.

All that said the entire spectrum is compressed in this city whether or not they are overpowering themselves, it’s just a huge mess and it gives us something to talk about. In a perfect world we would have nothing to talk about.

For reference to save you some time

No it did not.

"(a) I request a ninety (90) day extension of the deadline to consummate the referenced assignment
of license/transfer of control application"

That was filed in January and no extension was filed since... So I can assume it won't happen since it's past 90 days.

How's KTWL on the air? Still Texas Mix?

In most of Montgomery County, too. The two signals were battling eachother on Highway 105 near Lake Conroe when I checked last night.
And yet this mash of signals battling still managed to get KTWL showing up in the Houston ratings -- something that hasn't been seen since the 90s when it was Bob-FM. 105.3 Bob FM. If you folks can be patient, you will soon have Texas Mix on a new frequency with a lot better coverage. Just don't expect to ever see it rated in the Houston market.

It showed due to a change in Nielsen policy about listing low rated non-subscribers in the public releases and even not showing unsubscribed stations with less than a 0.1 rating in the subscriber releases. Of course, that far suburban station could never get a 0.1!

Bob FM was in the late 2000s and it only lasted a couple of years at most. Before that, I believe it was known as Lite FM and was a simulcast of 107.3 out of Caldwell (Bryan/College Station).

It shouldn't be rated in the Houston market to begin with. The station isn't listenable anywhere in Conroe (which is where the station should shine the most). Seems to me that the station has been running low power for a while now since it is a hard catch in Chappell Hill.

How the station got rated is a mystery.

It currently covers pieces of Waller, Montgomery and Harris counties, all part of the Houston MSA.

I didn't say it didn't.

Actually, it doesn't cover Harris county at all. It may on paper, but not in practice. When you enter Harris County via US 290, I-45, and SH-249, the station is unlistenable due to the constant fighting with K287BQ. Last time I was in Tomball, KTWL was the dominant station, but you could hear enough of K287BQ to make the listening experience unbearable.

I guess the old adult contemporary format of KLTR is already off the air if they're gonna switch to Texas Mix, but don't know because I haven't heard it since 2017.

KLTR? Lite FM was on the air a few weeks ago. It fades out between Hempstead and Prairie View. Even before the translator invasion, KLTR rarely made it into Houston anyways.

In that case, they can document and file against the interfering station. Likely a move that the new owner will make, if that transaction actually closes.
