I averaged three book periods from Spring 2019 to today and got:
2.5, 2.3, 1.7, 1.9, 2.1, 3.0, 2.7, 2.9, 3.8 (the last is Apr-May-June of this year). So the current 6+ is well within the "normal" but highly erratic range.
Remember, the market is about 6% Black, making the sample very small and highly volatile.
KISQ is #3 in 18-34 and #4 in 18-49, the all access article does not show the 25-54 numbers so David can maybe share that.David, can you give us the 25-54 numbers for KISQ/98.1 The Breeze? (18-34 numbers will be great, too, though KISQ is obviously an older-skewing format.)
If The Breeze pulls in good numbers within the money demo, then that's impressive, considering that the station is playing loads of ballads / slower songs (not the least of which includes loads of Air Supply songs and even a few fairly obscure songs such as "It Might Be You") for a market that is not full of retirees (maybe Marin County fits the bill, but Marin is only a small portion of the Bay Area). All I know is that KISQ has the largest share out of all music stations in the Bay Area (and the second-highest cume behind KOIT).
KYLD is #1 in 18-34 and they are #4 in 25-54.David, could you please try and give us the 18-34 numbers for KYLD(WiLD 94.9)? 25-54 numbers would also be good. Thanks Buddy!

Does it have do with demographics since Bay Area is at least 20% Asians. That’s why kblx and kisq tends to do well even with the low 6% black population in the Bay Area.
Besides researchers and focus groups tends to ignore Asian demographics, not only in radio, but other services as well.
WETA in WashingtonWhat *I* find fascinating is the 3.0 share of classical, non-commercial KDFC. I don't recall any other classical stations getting that high of a rating in recent years, in any market.
Speaking of Classical, how is it KUSC is listed (albeit with a tiny 0.1 share) in the SF book -- it shows as their FM signal, not their stream. What *I* find fascinating is the 3.0 share of classical, non-commercial KDFC.
