They preempted that for this?

And they need to get those times right too. There are TV episodes I have never seen in their entirety because of this.

Fortunately. I get "Jeopardy" on WCNC. I've had to depend on WFMY several times.
Just add extra time or record the next program. I explained in this thread last year how I set it to record the next program because I figured that ABC News coverage would run over which caused me to get 10 minutes of a United We Fall episode. But since I set it to record the next program (I could’ve also added extra time) I was able to get the whole Goldbergs episode. I did the same thing to get all of Call Me Kat and Last Man Standing when Biden spoke last March. I did forget to do it for a Unicorn episode (the MWC championship ran over) but I did have Paramount Plus to fall back on (and I would’ve had Hulu to fall back on with the Goldbergs).

Several preemptions coming up over the next few weeks.

WJZY is bumping TMZ to 1:30am both Tuesday and Wednesday night this week. Tuesday they are airing a preview of “Fantasy Island” and Wednesday they are airing a Back to School special. Then Thursday is the Field of Dreams game which wipes out the 6:00 news and will push Big Bang Theory and TMZ up to 1 and 1:30.

The Panthers play their first preseason game next Sunday at 1 in Indianapolis on WSOC. WAXN is airing ABC’s La Liga soccer game at 1:30. WAXN is airing the replay at 7, preempting NCIS and four Family Feuds.

Their next preseason game is Saturday August 21 at 7 on WSOC at home against the Ravens. “Shark Tank” and “The Good Doctor” will air Saturday night/Sunday morning at 2:05 and 3:05 am respectively. However, “Stand Up For Cancer” will air on WAXN at its regularly scheduled time at 8pm that night. That’s because all networks are airing it. Plus a bunch of cable networks. When I first saw that listing I thought it was a WSOC special and I wondered why in the world they would air it on WAXN opposite a Panther game on WSOC. Anyway, the “Stand Up For Cancer” airing on WAXN means The Goldbergs” weekend double run will air Sunday night the 22nd instead of Saturday that weekend, but still at 8 and 8:30 pm. (“Family Takes Care of Beverly” and “Big Baby Ball.”) Those episodes will preempt two Family Feuds. Preceding The Goldbergs that night on WAXN, will be the replay of the Panthers game from the night before, which will preempt “Castle” and two “NCIS’s.”But NCIS will air Saturday the 21st at 11pm.

Also WMYT is airing the Charlotte Knights and Norfolk Tides game on the 22nd at 5. It will preempt one of the two episodes of Wipeout they normally air on Sunday afternoons and all four episodes of Two and a Half Men that usually air from 6-8pm on Sundays. Those four Two and a Half Men episodes will air Saturday and Sunday nights the 21st and 22nd at midnight and 12:30.

People need to remember to do that and I almost never do.

In that case, you're just being lazy and dense. Even in the olden days of VCRs, anyone with a clue would have realize that you add extra time on the back end (or even sometimes in the beginning) to any program, live or taped.

It's an "you" problem if you're not cognizant enough to program your recordings accordingly.

So tomorrow the MN Vikings have a pre-season game at 3 CDT. Meanwhile FOX has a nationally televised MN United soccer game that starts at 5PM CDT. Since some FOX stations are carrying the Vikes game here is where you'll see the MN United game

Minneapolis KMSP soccer will be shown on sister station WFTC (FOX 9+/My Net) and JIP'd on KMSP after the game
Fargo/Grand Forks KVRR/KNRR/KBRR/KJRR will show the soccer game in its entirety on the -2 Antenna Tv sub (JIP'd on FOX after the game)
Mankato KEYC-DT2 will show the soccer game delayed until 11pm
LaCrosse/Eau Claire WLAX/WEUX will show the soccer on their -2 AntennaTv sub...Tv listings dont show it but facebook does
If you want to view FOX live coverage of the Major League Soccer match between the Minnesota United FC and the LA Galaxy, please switch to WLAX Channel 25.2 or WEUX Channel 48.2.
Bismarck/Minot KFYR/KMOT will be showing it on delay at 11pm

Sioux Falls KDLT-DT2 FOX has the Denver feed (MN feed on sister station KSFY ABC). Soccer game being shown on KSFY-DT2 (CW)

KSHB is carrying the 49ers-Chiefs pre season game instead of NBC's Jets-Giants pre season game
ummm the Giants/Jets game is only being shown in most of NY, Hartford and Burlington, VT

The list I posted is due to FOX national having a soccer game being shown and being pre-empted with a local broadcast.

NBC national programming is reruns of Got Talent and Dateline

2 things occurred yesterday, 1 on a national level, the other is on a local level in Dallas.

Yesterday's NASCAR road course race an Indianapolis Motor Speedway cut in deep into the scheduled golf event that was to follow the race on NBC, so NBC tried to stay on as long as they could, but 2 long red flags brought on by 2 multicar wrecks where the tire barrier and curb got damaged by the cars that wrecked out and NBC pulled another Heidi Game moment and made people missed the final 2 laps as they moved it to NBCSN (so for those who watched live and had that channel were able to see it, but cord cutters and those who watched via DVR missed the ending).

also, last night, WFAA in Dallas cut into Celebrity Family Feud to announce that Dallas Independent School District would continue defying Governor Abbott's executive order that is not making wearing mask mandatory after the Texas Supreme Court ruled in favor of the governor against Dallas County's mask mandate.

WAXN decided to re-air the Panthers preseason game Tuesday night (of all nights) instead of Sunday night like the guide originally said. I didn’t know til I saw that it was recording it. I have the Panthers games on autorecord. Terrible night to preempt the 7pm news produced by WSOC as severe weather hit the area that night. But I guess WSOC had coverage at 7, I wasn’t home, yeah I know, I was at the American Legion World Series. The replay also preempted all four Family Feuds. They joined their 10:00 news about 10:20 and despite the severe weather coverage WAXN cut away to The Goldbergs at 11 as scheduled and moved to WSOC at 11. Last May they did preempt most of The Goldbergs when protests were going on regarding George Floyd, but it takes a major story like that to have coverage on both channels. I had recorded Family Guy at midnight in case they decided to delay The Goldbergs double run but they didn’t.

I'm kind of glad that WYFF is preempting that Stand Up to Cancer thing with the Panthers game against the Ravens. The cancer thing is on every other channel anyway.
Actually it’s on their 4.2 MeTV channel, I saw on zap2it.

It’s on WAXN in Charlotte which bumps the Goldbergs to tomorrow night at 8 and 8:30 as I mentioned earlier.
