1240 WHVN is back!!!

If I listen to Christian music, I want to hear Southern gospel with four-part harmony or a choir or soloist with a big church pipe organ or classical orchestra. This sounded more like what is called adult contemporary music on secular radio. Just not a style I can enjoy.

As for the people enjoying themselves, they sounded like they were partying.

Doesont make it wrong, or bad.

I forgot one. "Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko Ko Bop" by Little Anthony and the Imperials. I know that one only because it is played on the standards station WERT which I hear online.

And "Sh-boom" by The Crew Cuts.

I need to keep including the songs from 63 Big WAYS on its own thread for comparison.

Quoting from the first email they sent me:

It is one of 3 stations we own. It is not a money maker. Is it more about keeping alive a time of music that most have forgotten about.
Last I heard WAYS in Hickory was using Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel. The FM is WXRC. I have heard owner is getting older, wonder if he will sell at some point?

Forgot one more. "Bird Dog" by The Everly Brothers.

The man who responded to my emails said they got their music collection a long time ago and can't access it again to make fixes to make it work better. That doesn't sound like they're getting True Oldies Channel.

you are correct. Just checked affiliates list on Wikipedia and this station is not listed.

We need to continue this on the correct thread, but an email I was sent to answer why they play different versions than WHVN said their collection, or part of it, came from TM Century.
