^^^ Not surprising considering the amount of tourists constantly coming and going in Vegas and the sheer amounts of people not only attending events, but even packed on casino floors, moving around a lot from place to place and touching everything from slot machines to casino chips to elevator buttons to hand rails, and it'd be nearly impossible to do much of any semblance of contact tracing. The restrictions may also be a strong reaction to the fact that there was so much criticism of the government there at the beginning of the pandemic, when the casinos, resorts and other properties were given little to no direction or guidance on mandates, capacity reduction or distancing, disinfection requirements and the like.
