Friday nights in the fall are always great to hear new stations broadcasting high school football games. In many cases they use their full power during the game broadcasts. This past Friday (10/1) I managed to add two new ones in my log:

1320 WBRT Bardstown, KY at 2009 CDT with nelson County HS football game
1410 WRTZ Roanoke, VA at 1955 CDT with Salem High School football game

Also a new log on the same night, but not high school football game related was the reception of WFOB (Fostoria, OH) on 1430 with ID and mentions of 105.7 FM.

Also on Friday on 920 I heard CKNX Wingham, ON with Bulldogs - Hawks hockey game. Not new but the usual Canadian on 920 has been CFRY in recent years.

For those in the Midwest that need KCKN (Roswell, NM) on 1020 they are booming into Chicago and mixing in with KDKA as I write this. Spanish speaking lady with religious talk.

Also on 1040 WLCR Mt. Washington, KY is heard under WHO with religious talk by man.

Noted a very strong signal from 1310 KEIN Great Falls MT last night on the Methow Valley SDR. Flipped to comedy in January 2021, as "Montana's Comedy Network." Comedy routine and ID.
Many channels were weak jumbles with nothing ID-able. 1570 had at least 6-8 carriers, and only a weak XERF came out of the rumble. Hopefully a good sign for the nights to come.

This past Sunday a little before sunrise, I heard brief snatches on 1060 of what sounded like comedy bits during fades of XECPAE (formerly XEEP). My radio, a CC Skywave + a Terk loop, was aimed N-NW.

When I reviewed the recording, I was able to make out a telephone comedy skit and a comedian making jokes to an audience about God getting into the theme park business.

I presume this was CKMX in Calgary, which would be a new logging at 1,671 miles. I can’t find anything else on 1060 that matches the format, and I haven’t heard the station again since then either at sunrise or at night.
I don't think anyone else on 1060 has a Comedy format. Count them!

I still need my most wanted graveyard AMs, KWOR-1340 Worland WY and KODI-1400 Cody WY. Both air HSFB on Friday nights and they just haven't made it to my radio yet. I've tried for 6-7 years to no luck. I have heard KUGR 1490 in Green River, but not the first two which are slightly closer. KODI is less than 600 mi.

Just wanted to get your thoughts on what sounds like music underneath the noise floor on 1610 AM. Where would it be coming from?

There are no US stations on 1610 other than travelers' information stations. There are two stations in Canada on 1610. The strongest one where I am (in Chicago) is CHHA in Toronto, and they do play a lot of ethnic music. On a few occasions I've heard some faint music behind that, probably CHRN in Montreal. There may also be a station in Central Mexico on 1610, so that might be a factor if you're near the border.

I should have mentioned that I'm in the Western part of the US (Wyoming), so I was hoping it would be from either Mexico or across the Pacific

I don't know much about across the Pacific, but those X band stations can be heard quite far away due to the lack of other stations. I periodically get WDHP in the US Virgin Islands on 1620, and it is 1KW at night, just as CHHA is on 1610. CHHA could easily make it to Wyoming.

CHHA in Ontario gets out well. I've heard them here in Western WA, although I haven't been able to pull out an ID yet... but the music is a dead giveaway. If they make it out past the Cascades, they should be even stronger in Wyoming. It definitely should be a frequency for you to watch, at the very least.

Music on 1610 that doesn't sound like TIS-quality? Gotta be CHHA in Toronto. I hear them semi-often underneath local TIS stations here. I'm 850 miles NW of you.

Meanwhile, KGA-1510 was on a dead carrier tonight. Weak but clearly underneath was KPLS Littleton, Colorado, running Radio 74 Internationale religious programming. It's a Seventh-Day Adventist station, similar to 3ABN. Sad to see this former Adult Hits station with a huge variety ('The Rock') become yet another Religious channel. KCKK itself flipped on the FM translator to a KDFD-760 simulcast with Conservative talk. As of 11:00, it's still KPLS and some very weak music underneath (KSFN?) plus possibly a third, but it doesn't sound like Coast to Coast which WLAC carries.
CHHA is decent tonight on the Methow SDR, lively tropical music. A jumble of TIS stations under.

Thank you all,
CHHA sounds like a winning possibility! I appreciate your respones, and best of luck!

From Overland Park, Kansas:

Early fall critical hours fun! Yesterday morning between 7:30-8:00am CDT, I made the following notable logs:

1000 kHz: An unusually strong WMVP.
1010 kHz: Just a whiff of KRNI in Mason City, Iowa. A second time log.
1020 kHz: 5 minutes of WPEO in Peoria, Illinois. A second time log. They were then overtaken by highly directional 50 kW KMMQ in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. A second time log.
1030 kHz: With local KCWJ temporarily off the air on this morning, I logged 50 kW WGSF in Memphis, Tennessee. A first time log.
1040 kHz: WHO was barely audible but there was a strong heterodyne present that I have never heard on this frequency before.
1200 kHz: No WOAI, much to my surprise. Instead, I logged a surprising strong XEYF, a 1 kW non-directional in Hermosillo, Sonora. A first time log. This was my last log of the session between 7:55-8:00am CDT.

Very nice Bob. Hearing WMVP that well in Kansas must have been on their day pattern, but still a great catch.

IIRC, CHHA beams most of its signal west. They're a nightly regular for me at my location. This morning, however, I was in Belleville, Ontario, about 150 miles EAST of Toronto, and they were in with a pretty good signal.

A couple of new ones for me this evening in Chicago. On 800, I heard CHAB in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. It's 10 KW, so not terribly surprising, but in the past it has normally been PJB or CKLW. Also, on 1560 I heard KLTI in Macon, MO. It is officially 1 KW in the day and 41 watts at night. But it came in with only moderate fading for at least 30 minutes, so my guess is that it was at 1 KW.
