I just saw a post online from Jason Bailey that he’s leaving the station. Is this true?
I think the posts have been misconstrued, Rachel switched brokerages.I just saw a post online from Jason Bailey that he’s leaving the station. Is this true?
Here’s what he wrote on his FB page. I don’t think he could be any more clear that he’s gone:I think the posts have been misconstrued, Rachel switched brokerages.
edit: Just saw Jason's comments on this tweet. I don't think he's leaving.
Thanks, didn’t see his FB post. Axel is in this morning. Here’s what he wrote on his FB page. I don’t think he could be any more clear that he’s gone:
“And so is (radio) life....
I just breathed my final breath at Rock 100.5 / Atlanta. It was a good run with a lot of ups and downs. No doubt it was definitely time for me to move on from this part of my life / career.
With that said. I wish nothing but the best to the show, station and management in their future endeavors. God, I've always wanted to say that!!
Time for a mental recharge before I move on
I'm sure more on this on Wednesday when we release this week's episode of #BaileysBlackCloudPodcast on www.jasonbailey.com”
Yes, country music is in somewhat of a slump right now, but that also happens with other formats from time to time. If Cumulus moved country to 100.5, they would be pretty much guaranteeing that The Bull would always beat them.Since the morning show was the station's best daypart (last I heard), could we see a format flip once the Braves are done? Maybe Christmas music until the first of the year?
How has the station looked in-demo across the dayparts? It has seemed to have underachieved for a while.
Now here's a wild idea: Would Cumulus be open to moving country to 100.5 and putting something new on 101.5?
Yeah, just a wild idea. I think country has become the new CHR, with more pronounced doldrums than in the past.Yes, country music is in somewhat of a slump right now, but that also happens with other formats from time to time.
