Jason Bailey Leaving Rock 100.5

I think the posts have been misconstrued, Rachel switched brokerages.

edit: Just saw Jason's comments on this tweet. I don't think he's leaving.
Here’s what he wrote on his FB page. I don’t think he could be any more clear that he’s gone:

“And so is (radio) life....

I just breathed my final breath at Rock 100.5 / Atlanta. It was a good run with a lot of ups and downs. No doubt it was definitely time for me to move on from this part of my life / career.

With that said. I wish nothing but the best to the show, station and management in their future endeavors. God, I've always wanted to say that!!

Time for a mental recharge before I move on

I'm sure more on this on Wednesday when we release this week's episode of #BaileysBlackCloudPodcast on www.jasonbailey.com”

Thanks, didn’t see his FB post. Axel is in this morning.

Since the morning show was the station's best daypart (last I heard), could we see a format flip once the Braves are done? Maybe Christmas music until the first of the year?

How has the station looked in-demo across the dayparts? It has seemed to have underachieved for a while.

Now here's a wild idea: Would Cumulus be open to moving country to 100.5 and putting something new on 101.5?

Yes, country music is in somewhat of a slump right now, but that also happens with other formats from time to time. If Cumulus moved country to 100.5, they would be pretty much guaranteeing that The Bull would always beat them.

Axel needs to leave next; he is probably the biggest reason Rock 100.5 is the underachieving dumpster fire that it is.

If country isn’t succeeding on 101.5, it certainly won’t on the 100.5 signal and where it covers without the northern/northeastern coverage 101.5 has.

He didn't mention Axel in particular but he did say that his creativity was not appreciated. It's funny how they are still riding his coat-tails, so to speak, by playing the same "game shows" in the mornings. I've listended to Bailey since he was Buckethead back in Orlando and I could tell all those games were his ideas. If they think Axel and SSS are gonna carry that station, they are sorely mistaken.

Yeah, just a wild idea. I think country has become the new CHR, with more pronounced doldrums than in the past.

Frankly it seems like country always "dies" when it starts bringing in a lot of ACish acts, and then comes back when the energy does. I guess it's the same problem CHR has.
