Post your latest DX

Had a very good reception of WTEL AM 610 Philadelphia around 8:45 pm yesterday. Last time I heard them was still with their old calls (WIP).

Interesting evening on 1520 just after sunset today (6:30pm CDT. WWKB on top with a generally good signal and KRHW sneaking in during fades. No trace of KOMA. KRHW is a common pest at ,y location, but I almost never hear WWKB here, let alone with a good signal. When I did hear them on rare occasions, years ago, it would almost always be underneath KOMA and/or KRHW. I'm not sure what might have been going on, given that WWKB has the same power/pattern day and night. Perhaps they're going non-directional for some reason or operating on an STA.

Whatever. You guys might want to check this out.

New one for me this morning.... 1280 CFMB Montreal. Strong and easily on top with TOH ID at 4am CDT in English followed by "beautiful music" including a couple of choral vocals in English and one in French. Not unlike the old Schulke format. A major surprise for me. Both the English language content as well as the strong signal from a station I've never once heard at my home location before. 50kw night pattern definitely does not favor me, but the 50kw day pattern does, so I'll presume the latter. 759 miles. Radio was the C Crane Skywave.

Some observations from the past hour or so (7 - 8 pm CDT):

Two Spanish speaking stations are battling it out on 1130 at 7:12 pm CDT. WYXE Gallatin, Tennessee with Spanish language pop songs and WLBA Gainsville, Georgia with Atlanta - New York Red Bulls MLS game play-by-play by a Spanish speaking female announcer.

810 WWOS St. George, South Carolina coming in quite well at 7:45 pm CDT with Catholic programming. Matched with web stream.

1540 unidentified station with black gospel music over/under KXEL at 7:50 pm CDT.

Well, KSOO is on day power again, and so is KUTR! in addition, I had some light FM tropo, but nothing new. There was something on 93.1 that I couldn't identify.

There must have been some tropo enhancement today due to the fog and low clouds. Driving from Vantage up to George, then north to Quincy, and west to Wenatchee, 95.3 KPND Deer Park (ID transmitter) was quite strong, as was KKZX 98.9 and KXLY 99.9 Spokane. A great AAA format we don't have here in central Washington.
In East Wenatchee, there was also a 95.1 pirate that went out quite well, as far as the Hwy 2/285 interchange west of the Columbia River. Pirate was airing old AT40 The 80s with ORIGINAL commercials! SiriusXM 80s on 8 feed? On a Wednesday afternoon?

Thanks to a tip elsewhere (DX world.com) online, a new logging:

760 XEABC Mexico City; likely helped by slight auroral conditions. Matched to stream at 2 a.m. Either night 10 kW or day 70 kW, but wiping out WJR at times. No sign of KGB San Diego, which was heard in Minneapolis.

Great catch!

More CFMB this morning. Just before 5am CDT this morning with an English-language announcement to the effect of "CFMB, your place for instrumental music....followed two selections later by a vocal in French. Next came a TOH ID in French Then contemporary dance music...all .high energy vocals....in French and Italian! The sugnal was good and nearly without fades for almost a half hour.
'
Interesting stuff. And definitely not the Schulke format I alluded to a couple of days ago. I can't imagine Jim Schulke presiding over what I was hearing. But if there's any place on the planet where the eclectic multi-cultural format that I heard might make sense, Montreal might be that place.

I tried 1280 again just before sunrise (at around 7am CDT, but all I heard was a weak WNAM from Neenah, WI (About 35 miles south-southwest of Green Bay).

From south Overland Park, Kansas:

This morning from 6:45-6:55am CDT, I received a first time log of WHIN, a daytime power 5 kW non-directional station in Gallatin, Tennessee. Surprisingly, in the clear for 10 minutes.

And, on 1080 kHz at 7:00am CDT, a first time log of KYMO a 500 W non-directional daytimer in East Prairie, Missouri.

That might be our heterodyne culprit in Eatonton GA

How about KLYC, McMinnville OR?

Anyways, NEW station logged tonight!

1230 - KLCB MT, Libby; end of 'To Be Loved by You' by Parker McCollum, and most of the TOH ID "the gorgeous Kootenai Valley of Northwest Montana, we're KLCB, Libby" at 0000 PT (midnight) 11/6. WELL-WANTED (and heard them recently on the Methow Valley KiwiSDR), now finally logged here in the Kittitas Valley and will count. NEW #811, 1 KW at 251 miles. This makes it one of my closest-unheard stations finally bagged!
Alright, KURY-910 Brookings OR, I'm coming after you next... ;-)

I neglected to share that first time log WHIN is on 1010 kHz.

I get them on day pattern once in a great while at my location, but WMBD is easier. Which is a little surprising.
Both WIRL and WMBD come up quite often on DX lists considering they are only 5 kW directional stations at night. When I lived in Madison, Wisconsin both stations could be heard and actually listened to most every night.
