For the past hour (1915 - 2015 CDT) I have been hearing WUMY Memphis, TN on 830 with Spanish language vocals, ads with mentions of Memphis. Over/under WCCO. Matched with web stream. New log for me.
By 9PM here by the lakeshore it was all WCCO. However, shifting to 900 I logged WDLS for the first time. It might not be too hard for other locals to hear, but where I am CHML tends to be pretty dominant. Tonight for some reason WDLS was stronger.

Nice catch! I've heard WUMY a couple of times when they've stayed on all night (with day power), Just as you said, over and under WCCO. If you've ever snagged KBOA from Kennett, Missouri, that was the station on 830 that ultimately moved to Memphis and became WUMY. (A "replacfement" KBOA is/was operating in Kennett on 1560 IIRC).

I wonder what might be going on with WREC if suddenly it's turning up in the Chicago area.

And @Radioman thanks for the kind words. CKRM turns up at my location from time to time, mostly in winter. Usually with WTMJ nulled, but sometimes it can be a real pest. It was a little more common during its days as CKCK "Oldies 62". If you haven't snagged CKRM yet, null WTMJ and go for it!

WREC was in again this morning two hours before local sunrise, Slightly weaker tthan yesterday, but still slid with a positive ID. Again I suspect 5kw day pattern, so if any of you guys need WREC, now might be your chance.

It slipped my mind to try WUMY today, but I'll make it a point to check for it during the next few days. As fpr CKRM, it was easy to null WTMJ on night power/pattern this morning, but to trace of CKRM. At least not in identifiable form. I did hear a very weak signal, but not even remotely identifiable. So I won't even speculate on what it might have been.

Turns out my 1179 isnt Iran but a 30KW from Iraq and my 1395 is likely Armenia. And my un ID 1413 under/over Moldova is l;ikely Oman

Two new countries for me.. Oman and Iraq.

Earlier I heard sports talk E-W under KFBK, probably WCKY Cincinnati, as I've logged them before when they were running Brother Stair for a couple hours overnights.... No KSTP, though, which was odd considering the conditions. Also 1480 KGOE Eureka, Calif., atop the channel, KBMS Portland waaaaay below. I was using my Radio Shack 200629 (their version of the ATS-505) and a loop.

Booming in near the Straits of Mackinac tonight. Satellit 750.

550 WKRC
560 WIND
590 WKZO
600 WMT
620 WTMJ
640 WMFN
720 WGN
780 WBBM-Notably weaker than WGN.
820 Possibly WCPT.
950 WNTD-Very strong. Usually WWJ is much stronger.
1080 WNWI-Strong
1090 KAAY-Identifiable, not overwhelming.
1100 WTAM
1160 WYLL
1190 WOWO-Seemed like the old days.
1310 WDTW with WCCW on STA interference
1330 WHBL and WFNN
1470 WMBD-Nights. CH WFNT on 5 kW.
1500 WLQV
1630 KCJJ
1650 KCNZ Sports most likely.

Could you get KXEL Waterloo, IA?

Local Kittitas SDR went down sometime yesterday (again). Off to the Methow Valley SDR (mvradio.org:8073) with these loggings...including one that could have been logged as new, but because of the 100-mile distance between me and this SDR, I can't. :-(
Antenna is positioned towards the east and west.

1230 KLCB Libby MT with TOH ID at 1 AM PT, 'serving Northwest Montana, this is KLCB Libby'. Would have been NEW if logged on the local Kittitas SDR.
1230 KORT Grangeville ID 'Hits 96.9' and classic hits music, Don Henley 'End of the Innocence,' etc. mixed with KLCB and many others
860 Red Eye Radio references, only affiliate seems to be KKAT Salt Lake City UT, only 196 watts at night and I have been looking for this station for years
810 WHB Kansas City MO nice signal under KGO with ESPN // 710 KIRO, others. Did not hear WGY.
740 CFZM Toronto ON first logging this season with James Taylor's 'Your Smiling Face' matching the playlist. Mixed with KNFL Fargo's ESPN programming and likely CBX.
1650 KCNZ Cedar Falls IA Fox Sports // much stronger 1660 KQWB Fargo
1670 WOZN Madison WI in mix of KQMS and KHPY, with CBS Sports Radio, Amy Lawrence.
1530 WCKY mixed with KFBK, plus unid with Spanish female singing, sounded pop in nature. Maybe XEUR Mexico City.

Well I tried very hard for KNX this morning just before sunrise in the Chicago area. I had no luck. Mostly Spanish talk, I'm guessing
WCSZ. That was the only station I could make out of the clutter. Lots of stuff on the frequency before sunrise, but I didn't hear KNX. This used to be the best time of the year to hear it here, but no luck even using the Edinburgh, Indiana SDR.

Got another new one last night around 11:55 pm CDT. WWON Waynesboro, TN on 930 kHz with country music. Poor signal with WKMB nulled. Full ID at midnight including 92.7 FM translator. Also matched to web stream.

Also had a good signal from XEG on 1050 around 11:30 pm CDT. Not as common as it used to be.

I tried this morning as well between 6:30-7:00am CDT. I heard Spanish talk as well underneath a common log of WDIA in Memphis.

If you're not able to hear KNX in Kansas then my odds aren't very good. It used to be a very reliable catch this time of year in the AM. Those days are behind us even with Indy being off the air.

KNX has become increasingly rare here. It has been almost a year and I have tried many times. KFI is logged here more often.

Bob

Been doing some daytime AM DXing on the SDRs and was on the one in Arlington, Virginia to see what Philly or New York stations I could hear.

WFAN was the only New York station I could hear but too weak to be listenable.

Same with 1210 WPHT, though it was a little stronger.

No trace at all of 560 WFIL but heard WFRB Frostburg, Maryland.

Yesterday, I heard 610 WTEL Philadelphia, weak and all alone.

Today around the same time, 1 pm eastern, WXVA only 380 watts and about 75 miles away was also present with WTEL on 610 playing oldies.

WCSZ has really become a big pest on 1070. Every time I tune to 1170 they are there. I have been checking out 1070 and 1130 frequently in recent days, but no luck in hearing KNX and CKWX so far this DX season either.
