I noticed over a week ago that 106.9 started their annual Christmas music. No matter their format (EZ 107,Lite 106.9,Mix106.9) they do the Christmas music thing every year.

It's Christmas time on 106.9...again.

Yes they do but you forgot play 106.9 before mix and after light. They lost Christmas one year to gen x radio or as they called it gen xmas 100.5 but light took it back. I love how they flip it early on Nov 1. Anything before Nov 1 is way to early.
What Station is this?
Mix 106.9 it's in Louisville KY it's a hot ac station.
Looked it up and they are at the bottom of the ratings. Christmas is their only hope of ratings. All Summit stations have been a mess and show no sign of recovery.
They were doing 4 shares or upper 3s earlier wonder what happened
The latest ratings have 106.9 WVEZ at 2.8 down from 3.2. The bottom FM music station is ALT 105.1 WGHL with a pitiful rating of 0.8.
I remember in March of 2005 when 105.1 wlrs had a 4 share. It seems everything on that frequency in the past decade or so has a challenging time. I wonder what it would take for 105.1 to get numbers
I think that they did the best (not including WLRS) when they were Soft A/C after dropping the Talk Radio format. I kind of enjoyed listening to them then. Maybe returning to Soft A/C would help since we don't have a station like that in Louisville.
It's not longer manilow and Streisand and Phil Collins n billy joel no more. For lite rock it's 80s 90s and now with the other Billy joe of Greenday and maroon five and matchbox 20 and Ariana grande. Noone wants a steady diet of true lite rock no more. Me included but I still love Chicago's will you still love me which dropped in 86 when I was 11 or so.
Seems to me maybe lite 106.9 should not have gone hot ac with there numbers there getting.
I would say 105.1 problem is there signal but if they could get a 4 share w the new rock 105.1 format why not something else. I think the mistake lrs 105.1 made was firing everyone. It made the station have much less of a personality and they kept making the music more active than alt. But having very few jocks did them no favors.

Anyone wanna spill the tea on why Jesse is no longer at mix 106.9? It was mornings with MJ and Jesse...She stays put but he is gone. Just last week he staying at the mall for x days to raise money. Very odd.
