I noticed over a week ago that 106.9 started their annual Christmas music. No matter their format (EZ 107,Lite 106.9,Mix106.9) they do the Christmas music thing every year.
The latest ratings have 106.9 WVEZ at 2.8 down from 3.2. The bottom FM music station is ALT 105.1 WGHL with a pitiful rating of 0.8.Looked it up and they are at the bottom of the ratings. Christmas is their only hope of ratings. All Summit stations have been a mess and show no sign of recovery.
I think that they did the best (not including WLRS) when they were Soft A/C after dropping the Talk Radio format. I kind of enjoyed listening to them then. Maybe returning to Soft A/C would help since we don't have a station like that in Louisville.I remember in March of 2005 when 105.1 wlrs had a 4 share. It seems everything on that frequency in the past decade or so has a challenging time. I wonder what it would take for 105.1 to get numbers
