He keeps threatening to leave, when will he make good on his threats and hopefully be replaced by someone who is more pro-big government, high taxes and less libertarian, small government?

After they finally signed a new contract at the 11th hour, Deumig made comment that his PD had "gotten his pound of flesh" and has shied away from making any sort of "I call the shots around here, not my PD" comments that he was famous for before.
Triv will find out the new status quo when his contract is up. The new CC ownership that took over last year is much, much, much more cost conscious than the old owners and won't hesitate to dump a "highly rated" talent if they think they're paying to much for him.

No matter who takes over PMD, no one can really replace Triv. He was pretty much the last host on WTAM to attract a huge following.
This is sadly true.
Remember that Triv was able to harness the same populist appeal that Pete Franklin, Gary Dee and Lanigan all did. Regardless of what anyone thought of Triv, there is no denying that he always knew what his audience was, and knew what they wanted. (It does portend into the issues surrounding talk radio in general, but that’s a thought for another day.)
I think the biggest issue with any successor will be the commercial spot loads and adherence to a format clock. It is tough to do a talk show when there are so many commitments like traffic and weather together, et al. For the time being, they might be better off eschewing phone calls and attempt to build chemistry with the new hosts for a few weeks/months (provided Seth Williams and Carmen Angelo are retained as support staff).
Traffic and weather every 10 minutes is excessive. I would suggest they change it to every 15 minutes.
Could iHeart consider combining elements of both WMMS and WTAM into one station have it on 100.7 and 1100?
WMMS and WTAM target dramatically different demos. It would be a disaster on either end.
Oh god, really? Drennan? Why not beg for Lanigan to come back out of retirement again?
I liked Lanigan until his last few years when he turned into a grumpy old man.
