Why did WEEI cut out of a tied NFC Divisional playoff game Saturday night to go to CBS Sports Radio? Unforgivable!
The corporate owners of WEEI can change their name to Audacy all they want, but, to me, they'll always be Entercom, and in the words of some people's favorite, Howie Carr, "Entercom happens." This should be all you need to know.

I can assure you that you didn't miss much. :ROFLMAO: Today's slate of games were just better. GB'S defense is good, but not exciting like Von Miller stripping Cam Netwon in SB 50, and GB's offense is normally great, but paled in comparison to BUF vs KC.

I think @nowradioguy is spot on here. Corporate is paid to run CBS, and anything else is taking away from their main source of revenue.

Ok I have a question.... did the game go longer than what was scheduled?

Chances are nobody was even in the building. let alone at the WEEI board to over ride the automation system's program that it switch from source X the game feed, to source Y at a pre determined time.

Audacy had the number one rated station in Boston by playing Christmas music in the recent ratings period. WEEI AM has no listeners. Doesn’t show up at all in the 12 and up ratings. A well run company does not spend any resources where there are no customers.

I believe this was on WEEI-FM, which does have some ratings, though they’re not great.

If you're going to argue radio with someone of my intellect, you'll have to do far better than disingenuously citing one (largely-ignored) monthly for one station in a cluster of five.

Oh BTW Motown, Boston is a PPM market, they use 6+ numbers

and since 6+ means nothing to anyone in the business, lets cut to the Boston Globe that will publish P1 numbers. FM vs FM

But I suspect WEEI-A is not PAYING for numbers, they don't care what the numbers are, so why spend the money

If a station does not subscribe, they are not shown even in the 6+

But didn't someone of your intellect, disingenuously and snarkily trash an entire company in citing one technical screw up?

You must be too smart for the rest of us! ;-)
