I would think that WBBM would care about that.WGGR was on all night and giving WBBM hell in Indiana a couple of weeks ago
WMVP would be a tough catch in DFW, but anything can happen with DX.From DFW, Texas.
Last night 1/26/2022 between 10:00pm and 10:45pm CST aimed NNE, I was hearing weak ESPN Sports on 1000 kHz under XEOY's pop music, occasionally fading up to the top briefly. The talk and PSA's matched WMVP's web stream, but with KSOO also ESPN I can't be certain which one I heard. 50kw vs 100 watts would tilt it toward being WMVP, however, its possible KSOO could have been on day power. I will have to try again to ID if I hear them again, normally its all XEOY with weak KTOK news/talk.
I forgot about KKOB being a pest but they do send alot of signal in your direction. WLS used to be the best Chicago signal out west until KDXU went 24 hours in the mid 80s. Regarding KDWN, since they lowered their power WGN shows up alot more on the Kanahoe, Hawaii SDR.Oh yeah, KKOH definitely gives me problems, especially if you are using a car radio. But, for DXing purposes, I can usually null my portable radio away from KKOH since Reno is in a north, northwest direction and I can aim my radio in a easterly direction toward Chicago to snag WBBM. Usually the more pressing issue is slop from adjacent channel KKOB out of Albuquerque, New Mexico on AM 770 as they are throwing a lot of their 50,000 watt night-time signal toward the southwest right at me.
KDWN is a little more difficult to null to try for WGN since Las Vegas is closer to me and in a more north-easterly direction than Reno, but ever since KDWN lowered their night-time power, WGN has been easier to snag on the West Coast. WLS, on the other hand, is very difficult since KDXU is in the way in St George, Utah and WLS is not as strong out West as WGN and WBBM. WSCR is next to impossible since there seem to be a lot of different stations coming in on 670 AM out west.

FWIW, when I was in Fort Myers last week, WWBA was weaker at night than Tampa-St. Pete big signals on 620 and 970...and even 1380.I've heard WWBA several times in the Chicago area usually right before sunrise. I'm guessing they were running 50KW when you heard them.
620 AM in Dallas, TX is Broadcasting a basketball game for Arlington in English, with ads that mention Texas, as well as Baylor. I thought they were Radio Luz, a Spanish Christian station? The station was in strong like a local, but then started to fade down a little.
SRG is correct, it's KTNO carrying U Texas-Arlington basketball play by play. I was hearing them a bit earlier from Houston. It's Radio Luz the rest of the time.620 AM in Dallas, TX is Broadcasting a basketball game for Arlington in English, with ads that mention Texas, as well as Baylor. Upon further review, I see that KFJZ in Ft Worth is "Lo nuestro" Spanish religion now, so that may have been my unid last evening.870 UNID 1/27 1833 SS talk in WWL null, not Reloj. ID, but not readable, plus recorder died at the wrong moment... Haven't heard anything but WWL/Reloj/Dallas business talk on this frequency.
Considering that I was having issues with both WWBA and WHBO while only 100 miles away, or even less, these two are the most interesting part of a very interesting list from my perspective. Also, after hearing their sister station WWBA last night, I relogged WHBO 1040, strong in WHO null at 1830.
Great catch! You probably heard KDRI AM 830 from Tucson while they were still on daytime power of 50,000 watts nondirectional. That signal can really get out during the day with coverage all across the state of Arizona and into California and New Mexico. Night-time would be even better, but it powers down to 1,000 watts with a severe directional pattern to the south. I know there was a time last year (or two years ago) where they were still on daytime power at night and it definitely was wrecking havoc with WCCO from Minneapolis and AM 830 KLAA from Orange, California. From Houston this evening:
830 KDRI AZ Tucson 1/28 1831 good w/fades in WCCO/XEITE null w/Dirt Band's "American Dream", then Marvin Gaye's "...Grapevine" //stream. Only my second AZ station logged here so far (the other, KUAZ 1550, also from Tucson!).
I've been hearing both WTAM and WBT at all of my Florida stops these past ten days. Along with a weak WBZ in Sarasota. As for 1010, I'm now in a hotel about five miles west of where we'll be staying for the next month, commencing tomorrow, 1/30. What I'm hearing on 1010 is CBS sports, which I presume is the Tampa area affiliate, although I haven't been able to catch an ID. The signal has been quite fade prone.Early this morning, 1/29 checking out some SDRs, first on the Westfjords Iceland rig heard WINS and CFRB on 1010 with WINS getting the better of it. WTAM 1100 good signal and WBT 1110 also good. WBZ fair, but lots of weather warnings for the big snow heading for Boston. WBBR fair/good. Times 01:00--01:20
