BCB and TVFM loggers down

Just a note that the DXWorld websites went down last night and are still down today - looks like they didn't renew the hosting on the website. No access to either the BCB DX Logger or the TVFM Skip Log.
Hopefully someone will get the message and they will be restored soon. Meanwhile, if anything happens on the AM bands this weekend, I will put it into 'post your latest DX'.

Again? Didn't they have this problem last year during the heart of E-skip season?

dxworld.com is accessible but leads to nothing, but thats how its always been

It's the logger chatroom for FM/TV and AM that are missing. someone spammed one of the logger rooms and i think it was a link that caused the room to redirect to another page or some stuff .. these were taken down intentionally.. hence why they show a 404 error.

If they didnt renew the hosting, i wouldnt be able to access dxworld.com

As one relatively new to discussion of the hobby (but not AM DXing), am not familiar with the sites.
What did the sites do and how important were they?
What information was on the sites? How useful was the info?

They are just places to post your loggings (example: May 19 22:00 UTC Es 93.1 KFBK Sacramento, CA w/Liner, moderate strength. [My Signature] ) as well as discuss them. Kind of like the "Post your latest Dx" board.

Yeah, there were MW (BCB), LW, SW, FM, VHF and some ham band logging sites, all associated with each other. Basically you'd post an abbreviated logging (with the pertinent info) and end it with whatever moniker, nickname or callsign you chose. The SW Logbook allowed for longer postings. It was pretty old-school, but instant and worked. I don't know how many DXers went there, but there were maybe 15-20 who posted fairly regularly on the BCBLogger site, probably around the same number on the FM site (where I didn't go very often).

I just checked, and the BCB Logger is still 404. The SW Daily Logbook (a related page, which I used from time to time) is also 404. The Logbook was pretty cool, in that it allowed for more description of loggings than the BCB Logger and the TV/FM Logger -- sad to see it gone, if it's permanently gone.

Those sounded like interesting sites. Would love to have participated in them.
This past week, here in central Texas north of Austin, was able to pull in 690 from Coffeyville, KS, and a sports station from Oklahoma City at 640 in the a.m. Neither reliably comes in here during the day or night.

Looks like the BCBLogger, SW Daily Logbook, etc. are still down. Anyone with their ear to the ground have any idea if they will ever come back?

I see that the DXWorld.com link is active, but no menu, really. At least it's there.

The last time the Logger was not renewed, it took about 5 days for them to get back online
Hopefully that's the case this time, instead of it being gone

If you noticed what i said above,. dxworld.com works its blank always has been. the logger pages wqere simply taken down. its not a case of something not being renewed on time

Thanks for the reminder, I kind of lost your post in the rest. Do you still think that this was intentional to avoid scammers?

Yes... it was intentional, as i said in my original post

As of March 3rd, 2022, it is still off.

I'm glad to see some others from the loggers congregated here after the chat log shut down. It's sad that the loggers had to be taken duw to certain individuals screwing around on a pretty neat tool for DXers, in my opinion. Hopefully the loggers will return soon with some sort of better security protocols.
