I think the only option has for KROQ is Active Rock. There really is not an audience for country. And They will fail Hard if they try to compete with Ihearts 103.5 and 104.3
I think 103.5 and 104.3 are both iheart radio stations. But i believe KOST 103.5 leans older while 104.3 plays a lot more current musicSpeaking of 104.3 I really miss K-big a very unique station it was. Now I could have done without there noon disco workout hour but I liked the station. ITS THREE O CLOCK IN THE WEST
WNEW, an Audacy station, is holding its own against iHeart's Wall of Women in NYC (WHTZ/WKTU/WLTW), and WPLJ survived for several years against them before becoming a godcaster. Not sure what's stopping Audacy, when a rhythmic-leaning Hot AC is a void that could be well filled if done right.I think the only option has for KROQ is Active Rock. True. To be fair, some threads, like “A Day in the Life of A Lamptimer” are over 200 pages long!Sometimes I honestly wonder if anyone actually reads the threads before sharing their "words of wisdom".
I had stations like CKZZ in mind also. A Rhythmic-friendly Hot AC without the pandering imaging of the Movin' stations. Also, to an extent, 104.6 RTL in Berlin, which models their jingles after KIIS-FM!See post #267 in this thread.
If that's the way they'd want to go, all they need to do is add some currents to KTWV.

KTWV has some Soft AC tendencies. It's hard to imagine either Biggie or Britney on that station.
There is no rule that two stations within the same cluster cannot have some songs in common.
And as Mr Eduardo has said numerous times it's very expensive to blow up a station. Basically you are starting from scratch.
Great points ThebigA. By the way how is 97.1 doing with all news since the destruction of chr?
According to the woody show show killer is a great guy but horrible at his job. Notice how pretty much as soon as show killer left alt 98.7 not to soon after there numbers improved. Just sayin...Sources tell me the show killer is spending a lot of time on the west coast - exactly what that means is anyone's guess.
remember when 97.1 was CHR?
