They preempted that for this?

A new drama named Monarch is coming to FOX. It is scheduled to premiere January 30.

!!!

Wait. I was wrong.
"With an incredible pedigree of talent and musical performances, the powerfully compelling drama, MONARCH, is a top priority for FOX Entertainment in 2022. Unfortunately, due to the unavoidable realities of the pandemic and the profound impact Covid-19 continues to have on our industry and around the world, it is necessary to reschedule MONARCH's January 30 debut to the Fall. As the cornerstone of FOX's new 2022-23 slate, shifting a show of this magnitude allows us to have its entire first season produced, create additional, high-profile content and promotional windows to support launch, and give our viewers the best opportunity to enjoy the series as intended with a non-compromised run of episodes. We thank our cast, producers, writers and the entire crew for their tireless work and continued dedication to the country music-filled world that is MONARCH."
Not a preemption, they're just moving it to the fall.

My guess is it will be a full (22-24 episode) season 1 instead of the originally planned short season (10-13 episodes)

This is what's replacing it:

Press release:
EVERYONE LOVES A SUNDAY MEAL, AS THE 11 REMAINING CONTESTANTS PREPARE A NEXT LEVEL BRUNCH ON AN ALL-NEW "NEXT LEVEL CHEF" SUNDAY, JANUARY 30, ON FOX

Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais challenge their teams to create a Sunday brunch! Each team is randomly assigned to a kitchen, where they will need to prove that they can create magic in any environment, even when the odds are stacked against them. The best dish will keep one entire team safe from elimination, but one contestant will be sent home with their dreams up in flames in the all-new "Drop In For Brunch" episode of NEXT LEVEL CHEF airing Sunday, Jan. 30 (10:00-11:30 PM ET/ 9:00-10:30 PM CT/ 8:00-9:30 PM MT/ 7:00-8:30 PM PT) on FOX.

many TV shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth Market will be impacted by KXAS NBC 5, KTVT CBS 11, WFAA (ABC) Channel 8 and KDFW FOX 4 interrupting or pre-empting TV shows for winter weather coverage for the DFW impacts of the Winter Storm that The Weather Channel is calling Winter Storm Landon, i'm sure many TV station in markets impacted by this winter storm are interrupting/pre-empting TV shows due to it too.

Contrary to 2018's Winter Olympics, KNDO/KNDU's .1 subchannel isn't clearing Wheel of Fortune until after the Olympics. In 2018, it was aired at 2:30 in the afternoon (nearly 5 hours earlier than normal), but instead, they are airing Feud and the guest-host Jeopardy! instead, along with Hot Bench.
Wheel instead is being shown on SWX at 10:00PM, three hours later than normal. Ellen is also being shown at 1:00PM on SWX instead of the usual 4:00 on KNDO. No TMZ, Drew Barrymore, or Wendy Williams being cleared.

CBS Daytime soaps and the Talk will be pre-preempted entirely in the Pacific Time and for some Mountain Time zone stations due to the fact CBS will air "UEFA Champions League" (European soccer tournament)
during the timeslots when Y&R and B&B would normally air.
Tues. Feb. 15, Wed. Feb. 16,
Tues. Feb. 22, Wed. Feb. 23,
Tues. March 8, Wed. March 9.
UEFA Champions League Schedule: Fixtures and results

On each of those dates, the CBS Sports site says there are are two simultaneously-airing matches: one airing on regular CBS, and the other on Paramount Plus.
The matches begin at 3:00pm Eastern Standard US time. The pre-match discussion show begins at 2:00pm Eastern.

(There are additional matches on March 15 and 16 but they are all Paramount Plus and not regular CBS).

And then of course there will be the regular annual March Madness NCAA basketball tournament preemptions in mid-March.

Is there a thread for this?
"Fox Tonight, It's The Wearing Of The Grin special event, followed by special episodes of Looney Tunes and Horror Wheels! Fox Sunday starts right now!"
Oops, I wrote two. Sorry.

There are numerous Super Bowl preemptions, particularly in the Cincinnati market for local Super Bowl LVI pre/post game coverage.
-WCPO 9 (ABC) is airing a 4-hour pregame called Championship Dey preempting NBA Countdown pregame prior to ABC's coverage of Atlanta/Boston
-WKRC Local 12 (CBS) is preempting the 2nd half-hour of Face The Nation to air a 1-hour pregame special at 11AM as well as bumping S.W.A.T. tonight to 12:30 for a 1-hour postgame special at 10PM.
-WLWT News 5 (NBC) following Super Bowl LVI is actually preempting the post-SB Olympic coverage for a special expanded newscast to midnight for local postgame coverage leading into the reg. scheduled News 5 before late night Olympic coverage meaning viewers looking for the primetime Olympic coverage will likely have to stay up and/or DVR the late night rerun.
-In Los Angeles, KTTV FOX 11 is literally all over Super Bowl LVI with a special Good Day LA Gameday special from 8AM-Noon moving UCONN/St. John's College basketball at 9AM to KCOP My13 & then shifting FOX primetime to 11PM-2AM as they'll have a 3-hour post game show.
