ACM Awards winners 2022

Miranda Lambert was a surprising Entertainer of the Year, especially since Carly Pearce won the Female Artist award. It was a big year for women: Lainey Wilson's "Things a Man Ought to Know" was Song of the Year, Wilson was New Female Artist, and Elle King and Lambert's "Drunk and I Want to Go Home" was Video of the Year.

I suppose the big news will be that Morgan Wallen's "Dangerous" took Album of the Year, but on content and sales, it deserved it, IMO.

Among the people he thanked when accepting the award, he thanked country radio.

It'll be interesting to see how the ACM spins the viewership on this show, because only Amazon Prime subscribers could watch it. They claim to have 200 million worldwide subscribers. How many are fans of country music? We'll find out.

Four artists used the opportunity to thank country radio during the ACM Awards:

Disappointed to read that the Brothers Osborne's "I'm Not for Everyone" has been pulled from country radio. I was wondering about it. I liked the song and it was getting regular play on the two main country stations up this way (Upper Valley, VT/NH), then suddenly it was gone. What happened to cause the label to tell radio to forget it?

The song was released in April of 2021. At some point, it's no longer a current.
It only started getting airplay a month or so ago, at least here. Another article I've seen -- from Billboard -- reported that it was uncertain whether Osborne was referring to radio or their label last night when he said "they" had pulled their single. The other article, the one you posted, implied that the label made the decision.

This article examines why streaming may be the savior for awards shows:

I've seen all the performances I wanted to see from last night today via YouTube, as videos have been posted there by the artist themselves and even some fans who apparently have evaded the algorithms YT uses to take down copyrighted music. I've even seen a few acceptance speeches. With the ACM and/or Amazon so lax in protecting their show from non-subscribers, why would anyone bother subscribing? I figured this would happen, which is why I didn't even sign up for a trial sub to Amazon Prime.
