No American team sport has been hit by gambling scandals as frequently as college basketball, and one of the biggest took place right here in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic in the '50s, so Villanova climbing into bed with a tout station is, well, interesting. (Soccer is probably the overall GOAT of game fixing, followed by cricket, but most of that unsavory activity has happened on other continents. And you notice I said "team sports." Obviously, boxing and horse racing are in a crooked league of their own and have always been, but that's part of their charm.)
