I used to own the first version of the Insignia NS-HD01. It was and still is one of the best radios for DX, but quite the opposite if near an FM transmitter.

When NY's 94.7 was WFME, you could hear Harold Campings voice along with WSOU or WFMU drowning out several stations across the dial, within 5 miles of the transmitter. The newer version is way better with no overload.
 
North Iowa:
Strong signal of KROC-FM from across the state line in Rochester (transmitter sits a few miles north of the line).

Central Kansas:
Until recently, it was a weak to sometimes fair KTPK/Topeka. Now, it’s a mix of KTPK and a weak K295CL/Newton.
 
Mankato, MN its a mix (depending on which way the wind blows) of either KROC Rochester or KARP Dassel/Hutchinson (both cities about an hour away)
