Ah, interesting. Got my first HD radio in a new car last summer so haven’t seen it happen yet.HD subchannels occasionally go offline for whatever reason, usually maintenance. For future reference, when an HD subchannel is offline, wait about a week or two to see if it comes back on. If the channel is not back on after a few weeks, then it might be off for good.
What a waste of a channel. Who listens? Moms with new babies driving around in their car? People trying to go to sleep....in their car? (No one has an HD radio at home.)Would delete this if I could, but it looks like it’s back up and running. Still lullabies.
I thought maybe IHeart was originating their lullabies station from 102.5, but they are not. I see absolutely no reason to be running that format on that signal. And you are correct! Classic soul would be a much better choice on 102.5 HD2 because it could hurt a station like Jamz. That would be a plus for ratings for IHeart.Streaming rates are lower for over the air stations than online-only. They air the different iHeart streaming music formats on HD subchannels to take advantage of this. I wish they'd move classic soul over to 102.5 for better coverage.
