Also worth mentioning jingles could be in the works later on?
I don't think there is a more odd pairing than KIIS 2007 jingles and 80s/90s music, which is what KOSF in San Francisco is doing (has done?). A strong contrast from CHRs in the 80s and 90s using JAM or TM.I personally was never a big fan of the more modern style Reelworld jingles that Classic Hits stations have used in recent years, so I'm fine with them being dropped. I preferred the retro '80s JAM stuff, but apparently the Audacy Classic Hits suits REALLY dislike those.
This is the new jingle or more like a sound blitz at the top of the hour.Pretty much every major classic hits station uses ReelWorld, at least iHeart and Audacy. Same for AC’s it seems.
I streamed WOGL/Big 98.1 and can’t tell much difference. IMO almost all of the Audacy classic hits stations have close to identical playlists.
I personally (yes I’m in the minority) loved these jingles on WOGL - the K-Hits package re-sing.
Sounds very similar to...This is the new jingle or more like a sound blitz at the top of the hour.
I can’t see any reason they’d go that direction. Time to keep building a new identity. Not that the shows they dropped were detrimental to that, but it is detrimental to bring back someone more associated with the brand they’re trying to move past.Do you think Valerie Knight will go back to OGL as a DJ? Seems they’re keeping Coop, but canned the rest. I hope to hear her back on the radio? Even if it’s mid morning jockey or afternoons.
No kidding, it shouldn't be that hard to say "This is B101, WBEB-FM and WBEB HD1 Philadelphia (musical effect), an Audacy Station". And now back to more music, with more variety, B101". And, done. That should be about 8 seconds long. So, you don't really need to throw the sink at it the way they did, LOL.Studio plug…station +HD…Audacy plug…all that’s missing is the kitchen sink.
They could've just dropped the L and call it OG 98.1. "OG" is urban slang for "incredibly exceptional, authentic, or 'old-school.'"

Borgata paid for naming rights for their studios, this is a pretty common with many stations. Why do they say broadcasting at Borgata studio at top of hour ID when out of Philly? They don’t even come in close to AC.
