K-Love's TV Commercials Don't Say "Christian"

That's true, so I guess it's really more of an observation than a call to action. A declining media spectrum has always been accompanied by the rise of Godcasters on many of its frequencies. It's hard to say which comes first but the two tend to go hand in hand and there's nothing anyone can do but watch it happen.

Once again, that may be your perception, but religious broadcasting goes back to the 1920s. It was much more obvious when they all co-existed on the AM band, and you had people like Aimee Semple McPherson who's station changed frequency at will.

The advantage of a religious station is it's non-commercial and doesn't take money away from the commercial stations.

That's only an advantage for the station owners, not listeners whose entertainment channels are being replaced by dogma and agenda.
The K-love stations don't have dogma and agenda. They are music stations that play a different kind of love songs where they talk about love of God and Jesus Christ. To many people that is very much part of their lives.

K-Love is absolutely agenda, they just soft-pedal it with preaching music disguised as pop. In fact, the name of the company is Educational Media foundation making it pretty clear what their intentions are.
K-love is lifestyle for practicing Christians. Just as other format reflect the lifestyle of people who prefer their music.

If I am a "practicing" sports fan and do those fantasy teams and watch play-by-pay incessantly, that is my lifestyle. If my lifestyle involves attending church, participating in church groups and the like, that is my lifestyle. K-love reflects the latter.

You might be shocked at females, and even males, who are P1s for K-Love, like it, donate their $25 a month, and look forward to listening to it while traveling. Not all of them are evangelicals even. The FCC has never policed religious programming, from the Armstrongs, the Father Coughlins, Rev. Ike, to BBN and K-Love.

I know some people who work there and they definitely are not traditional evangelicals.

The wine they occasionally overdrink is not sacramental.

K-Love, Walk FM and several other versions must have it figured out, as I live within and near a couple of markets that each feature at least two similarly-programmed music stations, along with BBN and others, and none have left the airwaves or have gone commercial.

Sports Impact - Tim Tebow
Um, this is supposedly an annual awards, and yet they've chosen Tim Tebow for the "Sports Impact" award. From what I recall, Tebow hasn't actually been active in sports for a while now. When I did an internet search for his name, I found an article from a few weeks ago that details a book that's been written by a former Jets assistant who describes Tebow's time with that team as a "disgrace and a mess", a few articles about Tebow's fizzled attempts at being a baseball player, and information about his being quickly cut by the Jaguars prior to the 2021 season, along with this factoid:
"Tebow last attempted to play in the NFL prior to the 2021 season. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end, but he failed to catch a pass in the preseason before being released in August."
He was once known for "Tebowing" or kneeling on the field when he was with the Broncos, but that was back in the 2011 season, more than a decade ago now.

So what exactly has his "Sports Impact" of any significance been over the past year?

That's how you get the kids to eat their vegetables! Put the spinach in a smoothie!

That's how you get God to the people! Don't be preachy and play a lot of music that doesn't sound too far off from what you'd hear on a AC/Hot AC!

Yeah, but that was back in 2021 and he never even made it to the regular season. He was cut just 2 months after signing with Jacksonville, after a less than stellar showing in practices and not catching a single pass in the preseason (he was signed with them as a tight end). I guess their bar must be low for a supposed "Sports Impact" award.

These awards cover 2021. It makes for a glamorous press release.
I'd hardly call it glamorous that they're celebrating the accomplishments of a guy who did well enough in college and won the Heisman (a dozen or more years ago), but had a lackluster pro career at best, was a laughingstock in his attempts to become a baseball player, and in his last attempt at NFL play, he was cut just weeks after being signed, never even seeing any regular season games. Hardly "glamorous".

Maybe they could try Herschel Walker. Also a Heisman winner like Tebow, currently active in politics and a well-known pro sports figure who actually has some noted NFL accomplishments (and a fairly long rap sheet evidently) under his belt and is endorsed by the former president:

No rules requiring them to say they're religious. It's obvious that if you spend time with the people making the music that they're not old school Episcopalians singing hymns in church. Some of the songs they play have also been hits in secular formats. The guy who's hosting their morning show was a top rated secular talent in Tampa and other paces. I've been to some "new age" churches that have full live bands on stage with a big light show and even pyro during key moments. There's a reason why this music is popular once people get to hear it. Perhaps with some marketing, it will gain more audience around NYC.
NYC (really NJ area, too) has a station that is kinda like that sometimes - it's called Star 99.1FM :)
