They preempted that for this?

WAXN aired back to back episodes of some “Incredible Dog Challenge” in lieu of “Eyewitness News This Morning” from 7-9am this morning.

The Charlotte FC match at home vs. Nashville is on national TV Saturday but the one at Miami on the 16th is on WAXN at 8pm, they will shuffle the schedule that night as follows:

6pm Goldbergs
6:30 King of Queens
7pm King of Queens
7:30 Charlotte FC Pregame
8pm Charlotte FC at Miami
10pm News
10:35 Seinfeld
11:05 Seinfeld
11:35 Goldbergs
 
Last weekend they had some classic movies on one Saturday at 2pm was Peggy Sue Got Married but instead it was Summer Rental. Summer Rental aired again on Sunday at 2pm which it was scheduled for on that day.

Peggy Sue Got Married aired at noon on WJZY last Sunday, then at 2pm on sister WMYT. I recorded it and watched it on WJZY last Sunday night for the first time, it was good!

Noticing for 8/2 here in Phoenix, KPNX (NBC- 12 News) is expanding its 10PM newscast to an additional hour starting an hour early at 9, presumably to cover the Arizona Primary election results which include the race for AZ Governor, bumping Family Game Night to 1:12 AM early Wednesday morning after a repeat of the reg. half-hour late 12 News at 10 following the 2 NBC late night shows. I should point out they're the only one out of the Big 3 to bump out primetime network programming for election coverage.
 
Tuesday Aug. 9 2022 KDSM Fox 17 will air the Iowa Character Awards at 8pm preempting Fantasy Island.

Fantasy Island will air at 10pm on the same night replacing that nights episode of The National Desk.
 
WJZY now airs Panthers preseason games and they will be airing the Panthers preseason game in New England on August 19, which bumps Friday Night Smackdown to WMYT. Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon move up to 2 and 2:30, preempting Judge Mathis. That show is also preempted on WMYT, as Modern Family and Big Bang Theory double runs move up to 5 and 6pm, preempting it and The People’s Court. As far as I know this will happen again on the 26th when the Panthers host the Bills.

Both court shows also get preempted on WMYT Thursday for Two and a Half Men and Modern Family double runs so WMYT can air Panthers Fan Fest. WJZY is airing the Field of Dreams game.

Seems to me like WJZY would be preempting Good Dish instead of Judge Mathis when they need to show BBT and YS earlier when it is getting cancelled anyway. They actually still promote it occasionally. 🤷🏼‍♂️


Now here’s where it gets interesting. WJZY doesn’t have any Fox conflicts for Saturday at Washington at 1. However WSOC apparently swooped in and bought the Washington rights. At least for this game. The Panthers will be on WJZY AND WSOC Saturday at 1. WSOC lost the rights to air the Panthers preseason games to WJZY and the rights as the “official station of the Panthers” which mean they also lost “Panthers Huddle” and other bells and whistles. WJZY sure flaunted it too. Before WSOC reacquired Panthers rights in 2019 they had the rights to the then-Redskins for a few years so it appears they have reacquired the rights to air Washington games. (I refuse to call them the C word on here). Nothing wrong with that. This was Redskin territory pre-Panthers. But it is not a good look for this station to pull this, going head to head with WJZY…they could’ve just aired it on tape delay. Especially if they just bought this game and not Washington’s other two. The Panthers obviously didn’t have a problem with it though. But WJZY can’t be happy. So to reiterate…it looks like WSOC will be airing the Washington feed. WJZY will air the Panthers feed. Friday Aug. 12 2022 KCCi 8 airs a Packers game from 7pm to 11pm. CBS primetime programming will air from 1:37am - 3:37am (only Blue Bloods) Secret Celebrity Renovation will air Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm.

Saturday Aug. 13 2022 - KCCI 8 will air Celebration of Service at 7pm for an hour bumping NCIS repeat 2am overnight.

Friday Aug. 19 2022 - KCCI is airing another Packers game and bumping primetime programming to 1:07am to 4:07am.

Saturday Aug 20 2022 - 49ers and Vikings play on KCCI at 6pm 10pm bumping CBS primetime programming to 1am to 4am.
