The Wolf to stop howling?

Well, I enjoyed the brief clip they played of a "95.3 Party" sweeper during the intro to Fly 103.1. I also liked them playing "I'll Fly With You" by Gigi Agostino -- a 95.3 Party staple -- as part of their stunting with songs that have Fly in their name.

Yeah, good throwback. Thought JVC would want to incorporate some new dance into this new station when I heard it. Not the case so I'm going back to SiriusXM where I can choose from all types of dance flavors.

WFYY is identifying themselves as an HD-1. 103.1's HD signal has been off for at least several weeks now, they're only showing RDS. WDYZ is still identifying themselves on WOTW HD-3. One would think they would have been prepared for this by now.

Upbeat presentation, superb imaging, with pop/reggaeton/hip-hop. Somewhat similar to 96.1 The Beat/Colorado Springs or Red 94.5/Lincoln, except with the reggaeton. I like it. Fits perfectly between 104.5 The Beat and XL 106.7. There are other markets where a wedge format like this would work. Since they’re promoting that a live and local airstaff is forthcoming, I predict success for this station.

Selfishly I agree with the earlier posters hoping for some dance music but it's probably the case that it will only be crossover stuff such as the new singles by Beyonce or Drake.

According to their facebook page 103.1 the wolf claims to be coming back somewhere soon. Unless JVC is buying an FM signal the only places I could think off off hand is on an HD sub-channel of 103.1 (which would be a waste) or if they plan on dumping AM 660 (105.5 FM translator) WDYZ's Florida Man Radio format (which would be another waste).

They will be switching Bud FM to The Wolf on their HD channel.

That's what I figured would happen. But IMHO that should have been done already and promoted. Not too many people have an HD receiver, this may have compelled some of their listeners to get one. I'm sure most listeners have moved on by now to WWKA, WPCV or some other country station in the north & west areas of Central Florida.

Personally, I'm enjoying the singles from Drake and Beyonce. I'm not sure if that would open the doors again for more dance but I think those so singles were well done. And I agree that there's space for Fly 103.1 and their presentation is on point.

I don't care for the music on Fly 103.1, but agree with the above comments. It's a good fit for Orlando radio and will probably do quite well.

Well 103.1's HD signal is back on finally. WDYZ is on their HD-3 and Bud FM is still on the HD-2. But while the RDS may be correct, they're Identifying themselves as WOTW HD-2.... SMH. No sign of the wolf yet.

You were correct. Apparently it happened last week. Bud-FM is no more. The Wolf is on 103.1 HD-2 as well as online via their website, and on their app. I was reading the comments about The Wolf's return on their Facebook page and quite a few of them are negative. Commenters are upset that they're only available over the air on an HD sub-channel. JVC seriously needs to look into getting a translator somehow if they want to gain any kind of listeners. I do not know of any available besides the one they already own at 105.5 out of Oviedo. But if they were to do that and leave Florida Man Radio only on WDYZ 660 AM (and 103.1 HD-3) I don't think that station will get that coveted 0.1 again in future ratings books ;). Oh and by the way The Wolf is not the only HD sub-channel country station. There is also one on WTKS 104.1 HD-3.
