Snyder has been the usual person doing top of the hour news during "Weekend Edition" as well as saying "with these headlines" 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after. Schiavone took over at 11. Today it was the reverse.
And when is that? Is that weekdays?Giles was filling in for Korva Coleman at least a few mornings last week.
That's what I figured was happening.Yes, weekdays during Morning Edition.
Well, when you get used to a certain voice, you notice. This man has a very distinctive voice and it makes a difference if he's not there. The other (female) anchors all sound pretty much alike, while the one male anchor I've noticed also has quite a distinctive voice. He sounds like he should be a DJ or news anchor in the 1950s.Geez, i manage an NPR station and i dont even pay attention or care about this minutia![]()
He's worked weekend for almost two decades.I wonder how long before Snyder gets promoted to weekdays?
The first time I ever heard him was when I started listening to "Weekend Edition" on Sunday so I wouldn't miss the start of "Car Talk". I guess that has been close to two decades. He's worked weekend for almost two decades.
As I mentioned above, he commutes in from WV. A 5-day a week gig may not be his desire.
