Only two new syndicated shows are debuting in the #2 TV Market for 2022-23, both on Fox 11 and second runs on My13 KCOP: Sherri (as in Shepard, the replacement for Wendy Williams) and The Jennifer Hudson Show. All the other stations are sticking with what they have and/or adding more hours of local news content. 3 stations, KTLA, KCAL and KTTV will go head-to-head from 4am-11am. With the return of "Off The Clock" at 2pm, and a new expanded "Special Edtion" of KTLA news from 3-5pm starting 9/12, Channel 5 becomes the go to channel of So Cal residents to get their continuous weekday news Fix from 4am-7:30pm.
Unless another OTA station steps up to the plate, it's going to be much harder for syndicators to get clearance in LA with local news as King.
