“Days of our Lives” to move the hourglass to Peacock

That'd remind me of a video I saw on YT, where the BBC was informing their elderly listeners BBC Radio 2 was no longer available on AM. They had to open a toll free number to help people who couldn't understand they weren't listening FM, but AM, and complained they had lost Radio 2.

Its moving to the W Network:
I knew it Corus has the rights to Peacock originals and I predicted right

Soap Opera Fans in a Lather as ‘Days of Our Lives’ Leaves NBC to Stream on Peacock

Some diehards unfamiliar with streaming get help from grandchildren on setting up the service; ‘I’ve always been a John and Marlena fan’

Two of the oldest stars of DOOL are reaching out to the elderly viewers, 78 year old Susan Seaforth Hayes, and 96 year old Bill Hayes. They have been on the show since 1970, and are married in real life. BTW, not a typo, he's 96 and continues to appear on the show.

That's actually a great campaign. Funny and lighthearted, but it gives viewers the important details and implies that if they can do it in their late 70s and 90s, home viewers can, too.

Umm I get it there are people without newer TV's running on Roku, Amazon Fire, Android TV, and Apple's TVos on apple TV devices may not understand what TV apps are and demand it to be on a specific TV channel or cable network. Interesting how Comcast Xfinity's division has to take on these calls. But I expect Comcast to hype up cable and Internet services with the Peacock app as part of the offer.

There's also the issue of having to pay.

I'm not certain of the timeframe, but I believe 2 weeks after an episode airs, it's available to view on the free Peacock.

Also if you have cable, check to see if your package has Peacock Premium thrown in for free.. I know Cox Cable has it in some of their cable packages.

That will no longer be the case. Unless they change their policy future episodes of DOOL will only be available on Peacock Premium

Any thoughts on NBC News Daily?

I haven’t seen any of it or heard much except seeing a mostly chilly reception on social media though a few have praised both Kate Snow and Morgan Radford on their personal pages.

I actually prefer NBC News Daily over GMA3. I've seen both before including NBC ND this week. I actually prefer NBC News Daily, mainly since it just goes by news story after news story without hanging on to it for too long.

Also, local news cut-ins. GMA3 doesn't do that.

Yeah, it’s even more a straight ahead news program, while GMA 3 harkens back to the Today and GMA of years gone by, with news, some general interest and a bit of daytime suitable puff pieces. Both may well have their place in their respective lanes.

How are the ratings for it? Better or worse than DOOL.

So just cancel Days then. Why hang on to it and keep paying for production.
That's the case of Directv with covers 1/3 of the country by subs. Passions was killed as the lowest viewed soap back in 2007. But moving the soap to another platform may not be easy, consider Australia's Neighbours they moved from Network 10 to 10 Peach in its final decade plus.
