ABC 15 News at 3pm!

I was watching ABC 15 News on CW61 at Noon. At the end of the newscast, they said to join us at 3 on ABC 15. Did it just start this week? Did they want it to be a secret? In any case, I will take a look today and report back.

It started last month on July 11th. I keep an eye on these things.

There aren't many time slots between 4:30 AM and 11 PM that don't have news on at least one channel. 1-3 PM is the only one I can think of right now.

I'm not counting Newsy on 51.4 because they're not local.

Agreed! I do like Newsy because it takes time to explain the issues and does not take sides on issues.

I watched today for the first time. Thought Justin Pazera and Amber Sullins made for a
smooth, error free and fast paced newscast. I'll watch again.....

After watching much of this week, I do not understand why Justin Pazera wasn't chosen to
replace Steve Irvin. I like Javier Soto but he's just too "bubbly" for serious news. Really
enjoy the mix of local and national/ABC pieces during the newscast. Iris did weather today.

Looks like the 3-4 PM newscast is no more. KNXV is running Afternoon Focus at 3, and The List at 3:30, with the news now starting at 4.

Wow, almost a record! I think the KTVK's Good Morning Arizona adding the 10 - 11AM hour was yanked quicker.
they still have Your Life Arizona by half hour. of course that doesnt count the 10am-12nn simulcast of Live Now Streaming Channel on KUTP 45 which has a 7pm hour news from Fox 10

I'm still seeing dozens of them each and every weekday (the animated ads of course).

But if you are talking about Fry's Electronics I don't remember seeing any of those in the PHX metro.
There was one on Baseline between 48th St and I-10 in Tempe, but closed along with the rest of the chain years ago.

There were two---Baseline near I-10 and T-Bird near I-17, from the late 90s until...I guess last year, from this article:

My first response was to seeing Fry's Electronics on TV ads here in Phoenix. Even when the stores were open I don't ever remember seeing an electronic commercial. I do remember their newspaper ads and circulars though.

And yes, you are correct. There were two Fry's Electronics stores in the metro area. I was a customer of the Tempe store but got really tired of the long checkout lines and questionable customer service. Apparently a number of other customers did as well. I don't know if their other stores in the Bay Area are still open or not.
