I wonder if the FM sounds too quiet and the added the reverb to fill the space between the words? If that is the reason, just bring back the teletype to fill. You might try tuning in 1010 to see if it's there.

Reverb... Just another reason I have to remember to change my radio presets. I always forget and then get frustrated while driving hearing WINS on 92.3. No doubt there will be teletype next to go full retard.I wonder if the FM sounds too quiet and the added the reverb to fill the space between the words? Could you please refrain from using this term? As a Special Education Teacher I take offense to this term. Thank you.Reverb... Just another reason I have to remember to change my radio presets. It doesn't even make sense in the context. I'm hoping autocorrect sabotaged his intended "retro." Otherwise, I'm with you on the use of "retard."Could you please refrain from using this term? As a Special Education Teacher I take offense to this term. Thank you.
All good thanks!Obviously, full retro makes more sense. No edit feature, sorry.
When I just glanced at the post, I thought, "What's wrong with the term, "reverb"? Has it taken on a new meaning after a hundred years? All good thanks!
No the last word in the post was the derogatory term for those with intellectual disabilities. When I just glanced at the post, I thought, "What's wrong with the term, "reverb"? Has it taken on a new meaning after a hundred years?
You can't sugarcoat the news nor should you. This morning I heard the anchor encouraging listeners on 1010 AM to switch to 92.3 FM. AM or FM it is still shootings, stabbings, fires, natural disasters, corrupt politicians, etc.

It will be interesting to see in the predicted migration to FM is slower for WINS than similar transitions have been elsewhere due to this sort of listening habit in NYC.
It won't matter since they will be counted together for the ratings. Just like WFAN.
Audacy blew up a music format and sacrificed its revenue stream to migrate WINS so if listeners don't follow along then it matters.
In fact, even Audacy won't see the AM and FM break unless it orders and pays for a special report (or has such services included in its corporate deal with Nielsen). Even the ad agencies won't see the AM and FM numbers separately even though they get the full report with demos and age tables and other features. They factored that in when they made the move. They're not going to abandon 1010. They can't make more money because the station is on FM. This is a long term move that might have benefits in the long run. We won't see the breakout between AM & FM in the free 6+ numbers.
I'm still hoping the FM feed will fail and we'll once again have alternative rock!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I am still hoping to win the lottery.I'm still hoping the FM feed will fail and we'll once again have alternative rock!!!!!!!!!!!!
