Hey all -
It has been awhile since anyone has posted on the forum, so I thought that I should open up a new thread.
For anyone interested, WPBP LPFM in Pearl switched frequencies from 104.5 FM to 104.3 FM back in June. The signal is MUCH clearer now without the co-channel interference from WXRR 104.5 FM in Hattiesburg and KLSM 104.5 FM in Vicksburg stepping all over the channel. I'm a news/talk guy, but I really do like their format. I had not seen any news about WPBP posted here since the move.
My company had a construction permit granted in September in Oxford for WRBM 94.7 FM. I am taking format suggestions from the brain trust here if anyone has a good idea to cover an obvious hole in the market!
I saw that W214BE (Radio By Grace) moved into Jackson from Raymond a few months ago... have not heard their signal yet, but I assume it comes in Jackson much better.
The WSJC 810 AM Magee translator in Jackson is apparently on the air now on 95.9 FM. I think I heard it a few weeks ago but have not tuned in lately.
Finally, there seems to be a pirate on the air on 103.9 FM in Saucier... at least there was a few weeks ago. It was definitely not the LPFM licensed to Gulfport, but something else. They had a pretty slick production, with RDS info and everything... just no FCC license!
