Steve, it appears to be on the low side of 1320. On my Yaesu rig, I start hearing it on 1315.20 kHz and it fades out on 1322.50. There may be a Cuban on 1320 but it is not one of the frequencies I normally would hear them on but is possible. On a similar note there is also a warbling sound underneath WWL on 870 tonight, which has been mentioned previously on this forum as a possible Cuban station underneath.
That "Warbling" on 870 KHz has been present for quite some time, at least 1-2 years, and has been discussed at great length in other threads. General consensus is its Cuba. Are you sure all of their transmitters are state of the art? On SW, one of their transmitters has distortion half the time, and the other one has low mod nearly all of the time. Of course, that could be somewhere in the audio chain ahead of the transmitter.Since Cuba moved to the state-of-the-art Chinese transmitters, installed by Chinese techs, I don't think that there has been a single report of one being off frequency.
Could this be the one at 6000 kHz? If so, that would explain why it is so hard for me to hear, even when I have a decent signal. On SW, one of their transmitters has distortion half the time, and the other one has low mod nearly all of the time.
Yes, the 6000 khz one, it's touch and go..... more go than touch. Low mod most of the time.Could this be the one at 6000 kHz? If so, that would explain why it is so hard for me to hear, even when I have a decent signal.
