While a number of stations had already gone all-Christmas, today (November 18th, 2022) marked a big day for Christmas flips in some medium, large and major markets where there hadn't been any previous all-Christmas stations this year.
Among those in the Northeast are:
* WMJX-106.7 in my hometown of Boston.
* WLTW-106.7 in New York.
* WALK-97.5 on Long Island.
* WSHH-99.7 in Pittsburgh.
* WFPG-96.1 in Atlantic City.
* WWLI-105.1 in Providence.
* WHUD-100.7 in the Hudson Valley just north of New York City.
* WBMW-106.5 in Eastern Connecticut.
One notable flip to all-Christmas today outside of the Northeast was KOIT-96.5 San Francisco/Oakland.
Radio-Locator.com at this writing (8 P.M. EST November 18th) has 171 stations listed (combining both the United States and Canada) that have switched to all-Christmas formats. However, none of the nine flips I noted above have yet been posted on that website. But as there have been other all-Christmas flips today not noted in this post, the actual number of all-Christmas stations may be well over 200.
