Munch had been on WARF 1350 for the last several years (first in afternoons, then moved to mornings when they became "The Gambler" in early pre-Covid 2020 and shifted gears to become a Cleveland targeted station) until last summer, when he had his heart surgery.
1350 - which had aired Fox Sports Radio's morning show "2 Pros and A Cup of Joe" (featuring former Browns QB Brady Quinn) while Munch was on the mend, then decided to just stick with it, leaving Munch with only his Saturday gig on 1100/106.9.
Since then, Munch has just been slowly phased out.
At 70, he may not want to go through the daily grind anymore (especially after his health scare), and WTAM would rather make a couple of bucks with paid programming on Saturdays, then pay someone to do a once a week local show.
On Sunday afternoons, WTAM runs Fox Sports Radio (simulcasting with the Gambler) - especially during football season, until the Browns game ends, when weeknight guy Dennis Manoloff comes in to do a postgame show.
IHeart talk stations have long surrendered weekends to infomercials and cheap syndicated stuff...it's not just a WTAM thing.
