Las Vegas KIOF-LP cancels license.

Contact them. They might give you the license. You can turn in a license and ask for it back. LPFMs cannot be sold but transferred for nothing greater than the value of the assets.
 
Agreed, although in this case I'd be very cautious with what you say, and be sure to document everything. The management does not seem very stable.

(Also, the FCC did not reinstate the license yet. Perhaps they may have revealed some information in their manifesto that is inconstant with the terms of a license.)
 
The strange has returned at KIOF.

A filing was made today assigning ownership of assets to the board members, effectively making the corporation a for-profit organization, if I understand correctly [1].

Also included: "A special temporary application will be submitted to the FCC with pending and/or provisional commercial uses of KIOF-LP 97.9 on an America First pivot of the LPFM Service pending a sunset of federal regulations (ie., 5 years) with either the outgoing 117th Congress or incoming 118th Congress as there are pending Congressional Waiver requests on this subject mater in the 117th Congress."

Did they just inform the FCC that they will segue KIOF to a commercial operation since, as they say, federal laws expire on an upcoming date? It's an unclear document that's difficult to understand.

It's the far right/"sovereign citizen" "If I don't get my way, it's a conspiracy" trip. Little does he know federal judges have gotten wise to that over the last 7 years (they've seen enough of it.)

But that last paragraph is so damn over the top, it's in space. 😂

I find it terrifying that people with such extreme interpretations of law who view their interpretations of law as absolute are walking around in our society.

It's too bad they're taking up valuable spectrum.

The thought that someone feels this entitled to this level of privilege and to hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer funds blows my mind.

That's in addition to the demand for a free commercial frequency with a request for a waiver of regulatory and application fees.

I hope this person finds the mental health care they may need.

The board script changes the lowercase "tv" to uppercase "TV", breaking the link.

I can't even type lowercase"tv".
 
Ummm... In an attachment, this person is asking Representative Douglas Lamborn of Colorado for the "prosecution/imprisonment of each Corporation for Public Broadcasting employee" for tax money laundering and racketeering.

It should be noted that the attached email thread contains no reply or response from Lamborn.
